That's what i was afraid of, in the 18x8 they have a +20 and a +40. So i'm guessing +20 will put me in the same boat? Or will the +40 be a better choice with some 5mm spacer's?

+40 will be sunk, +20 might be dead on. 10mm isn't that much to be honest...
Alright, cool. Thanks.
i dont have a GP anymore to try on a set of wheels with various spacers for fun. i could then math my way into a 100% flush setup through different widths and offsets...i just simply can't since i don't have a car to play with.
Yea, I understand what you mean. That's why i'm asking before i make a $1500 mistake and get something that wont fit.
when in doubt go less wide/higher offset and then run spacers.
I ran some 9" wheels with a +40 offset no problem. Now I have some 8.25" wheels at +25 and the front aren't rubbing, the rear fenders are rolled and I'm on Eibachs. The 9" +35 shouldn't be a problem, lower than that and you'll want to look at rolling your fenders, its pretty easy to do yourself anyways.
Now i know i will have to roll fenders with these wheels (Cobra R) But will the hub fit?
Manufacturer: AmericanMuscle Wheels Style: 1995 Cobra R Size: 18x9 Finish: Chrome Placement: Front or Rear Centercap Size: Large (2-1/2") Back Spacing: 5.9" (151mm) Offset: +24mm (0.9") Bolt Pattern: 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm) Weight: 23.45 lbs. Material: Aluminum Lip Size : 1.75" Best Tire : 1994 - 1998: 265/35-18 1999 - 2004: 275/35-18 Year/Model: 94-04 V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and Cobra
Also, feel free to suggest anything similar to these. Want to stick with chrome 5 spokes, 18' or 19'
the hub will fit. you should run some hub rings to keep everything centered, though.
Cool, thanks man
I work in a tire shop and by far the best tires are consistently anything that Michelin makes. and ignore the goodyear hype. these tires are terrible, we have so many people return them because of problems with them. I need some help deciding on some rims. I am able to get any rims from discount tire for retail price. and I have a 2 door red grand prix gt 1999. they must be from discount tire and be 16 inch rims so right now I am kinda torn between the "MB wheels viper" black and sliver......and between the Drag DR-9 black rims with gloss lips. any advice on either of these two rims?
sizes that you're looking at?
the wheel itself is up to you and everyone seems to have differing opinions on what looks good.
well, that's stupid.
Yea why 16s? About the only 16s that should be put on these cars are stockers or pregens. Otherwise at least get 17s.
And yes Michelin is a real good tire, and Goodyears are exactly that, good for a year.
because im not getting new tires. im only getting the new rims and the tires I have are for 16 inch wheels
HI GUYS!
Okay, so I'm new to this forum. Just bought myself an 04 Grand Prix GT not too long ago and had a pair of 18 inch chrome rims come with it (sold them ASAP because I'm not a fan of chrome) but summers coming and I need new ones. I want 20 inch rims, I found a pair that I really like but they only come 20" x 9.5" with a high offset (doesn't say the exact offset). I would be planning on running 245/35/20 tires on them. Could this work? Is it even the right combination? or What kind of modifications would I have to do to make this work?
Thanks.
thats most likely gonna be too wide for you.
