i'm wondering why the 7.5 wide rim has a 0.25" bigger lip than the 8.5 rim?
XXR 962
probably a lot to do with the offset they made it for that width. you won't notice the difference between 2" and 2.25" for a lip.
and you really are going to have a very tough time fitting a 9.5" wide wheel. i would vote against it. there's a few people on the forum that i think have the ability to do it based on their technical knowledge and based on your questions i wouldn't lump you into that group. no offense, just trying to help avoid you from having to buy another set of wheels when these dont fit.
I think 9.5 would fit without to much fitment issues with the perfect offset. I had a 9" +40 up front without any issues. Another .5" would be to difficult I would think.
could i just get the alignment shop to run more camber, or would i need some sort of fancy camber plates? or should i just forget about it like bio suggested earlier? if i can just roll fenders and add camber then, i think i would be up for it.
you can get away with that most likely. camber bolts or slotting the upper hole of the lower perch will be necessary as camber isnt adjustable in stock form. i'd slot the struts over camber bolts.
Can I run 275/35zr18 on my rears ?-- 2004 COMP G
For what reason? Its a FWD car.
You'd rub like no other with that size.
I'd say go 255 max, but thats still pushing it. No real need to go any bigger than 245/45/18.
Well being that its a fwd car I would run a tire that big there's no need. 245 or 255 would be ideal anything over 255 your asking for issues. Most of us run 245s
Ya I have 245's right now, I just found a set of rims that I liked in a private sale but they are 9.5 wide front and 10 in the back so I passed. Thanks tho guys
You would of been in 'donk' status lol glad you passed
staggered wheels are dumb. :(
I've got a set of 17x9 Bullitts and Im curious to if I can run them with a 245/50/17 tire with no rubbing and being able to turn the fronts all the way. Would I need spacers to run this wide of a wheel?
you will probably be okay if you're not lowered.
I'm not lowered at all. Will these stick out the sides of the car then?
probably.
What is the offset?
I'm on 17x8 +25, my rear fenders are rolled but I don't rub otherwise and I'm on Eibachs. If I was lower I'd do a little more work.
I dont know what the offset is nor do I know how to find out what it is. They arent the deepdish ones or anything and heres a pic so you can see what they are. http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/...ps10c70970.jpg
The offset is usually on the inside of one of the spokes. Otherwise we can't tell.
I see. Ill take a look when I get a chance to and post it.
