Well, I've been looking for these for over a year now and this past Saturday I finally found a deal that I couldn't pass up.

They were taken off of a 2004 Mach 1. Overall they are in great condition but one wheel does have a small dent.

Here is an idea what they will look like once they are mounted on the 01 GT.

I always wanted something different and while I REALLY like how the bullitts look on our cars I thought the Mach 1's suited me a little better. Now before spring hits I'll be looking into getting that one rim fixed (it holds air but I'm a perfectionist and I couldn't stand driving on it like that), buying some center caps (any suggestions) and getting some new tires for them.
I live in Illinois right across the river from St. Louis so if anyone has any tips or locations where I can get some cheap tires (could be used) and any of the other items I listed above I would very much appreciate it.

Hope you guys like them as much as I do. Once I get them mounted and cleaned up I'll put up some more picts.
Oh, they were 200 bucks incase you were wondering off of Craigslist...

yeah i thought so too. i think the lowest i found them on craigslist (and that was for just the rims) was well over 500 bucks so when I saw these for 200 my jaw dropped.

That is a great idea painting the black body color dark blue to match the car. Maybe when the spring/ summer comes along I might look more into it but now any money I have for the car will be going into tires...

I'm a graphic designer so when I mount the wheels I will do some photoshop on them to see what the dark blue will look like. Thanks for the suggestion!

well thanks, i'll see what i can do or not do. like it says above, they were only 200 bucks so i might be able to find 1 rim at a reasonable price (i hope) if i can't get the one with the dent fixed. i wouldn't take it to some schmo off the street either to get it repaired but i'll keep you all up to date on what happens. i'm going to start calling people by the start of this upcoming week.

call a tire shop that does a lot of custom wheels too, we dealed with a guy who would come around and fix alloy wheels out of trailer and he was pretty good, its just that is a very small, hard hit and normally to repair them it has to be across a pretty decent size area so you have some to heat and work with without compramising the metal. I would just do some checking and if not, oh well you did good for the set anyway. Oh also sorry if my last post sounded dickish, i reread it and didn't mean to come across like that

No worries man I didn't read it like that. There is a "Hubcap and Wheel Store" here in St. Louis I'm going to call tomorrow or Monday, it seems like a good place to start. Another potential good thing is that the tire still holds air on the wheel that is dent. I'm not an expert but do you think I could still drive around with it like that or do you think it would cause a potential problem?

it shouldn't be an issue driving on that if it holds air just fine, its not big enough to do damage to the mounting area of the wheel, and being on the face its not gonna be bent either so you got lucky there. I would drive on it with no worries and that sounds like a good place to start looking. These guys normally just fix your common bends but they use heat and a roller that pushes out and it may or may not work on that, just all depends on the tech doing it. Good luck!

That wheel is easily repairable. Be sure to post pic's when you get them on.

Well, here is a small update. My new tires Yokohama AVS ES100's just got in yesterday. I went and got them balanced and mounted so now I'm just waiting for my brushed finished center caps to arrive. Once they get here the wheels go on. As for the wheel that had the dent, contrary to what I thought I would do I decided to leave it as is for now. The old tire on the dented wheel was holding air without any signs of leaks before the new tire was mounted. The kid that mounted and balanced the dented wheel (and I watched him do it) said that it actually balanced really good, just as good as the other ones and he recommended that I put it on the back. In a couple of months I'll get the dented rim fixed or buy a replacement but in the mean time I'm still really excited to get these on so I'll be sure to put up picts as soon as possible

Here are pictures of the cars that inspired all of this. I think the mach 1's are a great alternative to the bullitts, I just hope my car look half as good as these ...

my car is going to look VERY similar to this one

I love this regal, I gotta find out who this guy is, I think we both live in the St. Louis area..
