i'm moving to tampa in may, so i think i'm good for a while...LOL
Buddy of mine has been running Nankang and Hankook's since high school on his turbo 1G and DD N/A 2G...never had any issues except when he hit a curb
nice, i'm pumped. they wont be in for like 3 weeks cuz they are on backorder. they only come in 5x114.3. i've heard there shouldn't be any issues with that. is that true?
Nanking is just a REALLY cheap performance tire, like a Sunny for instance. Hankook is much better quality for the money! I personally would never buy a tire cheaper then a Hankook because i like handling and treadwear, and any cheaper has niether.
the guy at unique wheels direct recommended them, and also said that he has never had anyone have a problem with them...interesting. what about falken tires?
Falken's are about right with Hankook as far as quality and price, i ran a set on a honda and personally LOVED em, and got great mileage. I was in the tire biz for about 5 years and sold TONS of custom wheel/tire packages and have used about every tire brand EVER and my preference is Yokohama and BFGoodrich personally. Yokohama makes very long lasting, great quality tires at a decent price and for your size you should look up the Yokohama V4S, You would never run another tire. In most sizes, even 40 series they have 60k treadwear warrantys! You can't really beat em
EDIT- He probably told you that because the wheels come direct to him and can come mounted with Nankings for a few more bucks. I know we could but a 225/35-20 in a sunny and nanking for under 65 per tire. So he probably can get your wheels with tires for about 70 more per tire and with markup at retail make a killing off of you, and not have to even mount them. Most wheel companies use REALLY cheap tire brands like Nanking, Sunny, Wanli's and Nexen so they can keep costs down, and they'll buy a sh1t ton of tires direct so they make a ton of money. A direct buyer can buy tires off these cheapo korean and chinese tire companies for under 35 per tire normally, So why wouldn't you. You can make 40% profit no problem on a Nexen and only 20% on a Yokohama or Bridgestone, so why sell better tires?

looks like i'm gonna bite the bullet and go with a falken ziex ze-912!
I had the falken fk-452 (i think thats what they were called?) and they were amazing, my car stuck to the road like velcro and hooked pretty good , even in the rain.
those were a little out of my price range. i went up about $150 from the nankangs to get the ziex, and it was another $100 for the 452's. i'd probably be better with the all season's anyways...
yeah, those were the ones i wanted, but i had already gone above what i wanted to pay and could not possibly go any higher. as is, i'm still going to need an alignment, and i don't know how to do that myself, nor do i want to screw it up trying...lol
Doing an aliment your self is easy. Just buy the $20k machine, and $3-10k lift.
