hey guys, hypothetically speaking im not sure if i want to do it or not but, whats the best way to paint your rims if you were to do it yourself. what would i need, how much would it cost, how long would it take etc. i dont just want to take a spray paint can and make it look bad. i would like to try to make it as professional as possible. please help. thanks

sand down original finish...primer.....paint with your choice of paint (duplicolor makes wheel paint), clear coat....when its all dry 2000 grit wet sand it and then use 3M rubbing compound with a mother powerball (gets all sanding lines out to make it a glass like finish) then finish it off with a polish on the powerball...and finally wax the shyt out of them....

can of clear, can of paint 12$ sandpaper and other prep supplies...20$ at most...it will cost you around 40-50$ to do it right....i would go with the powdercoat option over all tho as stated above....more money but will last/look alot better...
