So I ordered fuel injector adaptors from zzp. They were easy to install and everything but when I started the car I found that 3 out of 6 cylinders were having a misfire. I disconnected the fuel injector adaptors and found that the pins inside the end of the adapter weren't long enough to make a connection.

I emailed zzp customer service on July 13 to advise of the defective product. I received a response from Rachael who advised she would ship out replacements same day and I didn't have to send back the defective ones. As of July 20 I hadn't received the new adaptors. I emailed Rachael again asking if there was a tracking number. She forwarded my email to a Henry Cheng who said that he doesn't know what happened with the shipment, but he will send out the new ones that day.

I email back and ask if he at least sent it express shipping so I get it sooner. We then get into a back and forth series of emails where he tells me my order was "very old", it was from the end of March (3 months), that if I want faster shipping I have to pay for it and that I am throwing a fit because I'm not getting my way. I tried to explain to him that I just think that they should be shipping the item to me at a quicker speed considering they made an error and didn't ship it out 7 days earlier like they said they would.

After he was so short and told me I was just complaining because I'm not getting my way, I then told him that I didn't want to receive anymore emails from him. He replied with an email at close to 9pm central time saying I should go cry a river. I don't know if this guy is the owner or something but I don't know why he thinks he can talk to a customer like that. They have definitely lost a customer and I would recommend anyone who wants to order from there to be cautious. Check the w body store first or other resources.

ZZP is a company that seems to be all about the money and not about it's service to customers, been that way since I've been around. Seems that they never have the staff on hand and like 1-2 guys try to do everything. Like any business, they are get bad reviews someway or another and it's things like this that give them even a worse rep.

I've bought stuff from there only a few times and didn't have any problems but I can count on all my fingers and toes and then some of the times where others have problems.

I joke that they can't count past 4... because anything ever sent to my address with more than 4... was incorrectly counted.

I had the same exact problem with zzp. I ordered ev1 to ev6 adapters and first thing that happens when I start it up after install, misfire. The wires pull out of adapter with so little force it's sad. Eventually I just bought some ev6 injectors off of some one here. No trouble ever since.

Oh yeah, when I emailed zzp about it in January, their response was for me to make sure I installed them correctly. Over time at least two of the adapters caused low circuit injector misfires. Lame.

Drive to JY.. Pay $5 for cutting the pigtails off the version you need. Solder onto your car and heat shrink, cover with loom. Done

I been dealing with Henry/zoomer and Tim . Henry responds at all hours of the day and night even weekends. Not sure why, but the last 2 years ZZP has shown me nothing but good customer service. Returns and exchanges outside of the warranty time frame, paid for shipping etc. I really can't complain
the tech support however is pretty dry.
Now ask me how they were back in 09/10 and I would agree with OP

Just to add one more thing, if you're starting a build from scratch , John from Intense is super helpful. I've obtained everything I could for my last build through him. Very good guy to deal with

No joke..count the screws in the "sealed" package. Then count the holes.

Another guy had a hub he brought over and no matter how you tried to put a pulley on, the 5th hole wouldn't line up.

Years ago I received a PLOG with the flange welded on backwards. ZZP has since updated their PLOG and my new one fits correctly.

I'm 33/66 with them. MPS was perfect, but the gen V turn-down took some work to get mounted cause the holes didn't line up quite right, then wouldn't work on my engine anyway which wasn't mention on their site. Just received my fuel pump rewire, crossing fingers.

EDIT: Oh yeah, they sent me the wrong O2 harness, but 2 seconds with a dremal solved that and luckily they sent the too long of one.

i ordered a DIC from an ebay junk yard. the add said "includes wires" , they wanted like $42 shipped. so i get the package and there's no wires. i emailed them and told them it was supposed to have the wires , which i didn't even need anyway , i was just testing out their customer service. within an hour i get an apology email saying they will send the wires , that i didn't even need , PLUS, she credited $20 back to my paypal account and said "have lunch on me"...now THAT'S good customer service !..lol

I cant say one bad thing about them. They've always been good to me. Custom stuff ordered, lots of detailed questions answered in a timely manner.
Even gave me a discount when an order took too long.

I can't really say anything bad about ZZP. When I ordered my downpipe it shipped quick. When I got it I had a question about it and emailed them around 9pm. By the time I got home from work the next day they had responded.

There's another company I am dealing with on my Stealth. I've dealt with them in the past and things went pretty smooth. I only went with them for some items this time, because they had a bunch of stuff grouped together. Long story short, communication became non existent, so I PMed the events to the rep for the company. He messaged me back within a few hours and said he forwarded my message to the GM. She called me within 2 hours of that and got things straightened out (for the most part.) Sometimes you just have to know how to deal with people to get answers.

There was one time I had problems with a company on eBay. I needed a 4.5" cone filter for the Stealth. Found an ad on eBay that sold the filter and aluminum MAS adapter (didn't need the adapter since I had one already) for a decent price. Hit Buy It Now, pay right away and await delivery. Get the package, open it up and immediately am pissed. They sent me a plastic 3" adapter and 3" filter. I go back to the ad, and it clearly states 114mm filter and adapter, and even says below the picture (Actual Item Pictured) so I email the seller. He tries to tell me "Its the same thing" blah blah blah and basically tries to refuse to send me a RMA and return shipping label. After a few more back and forths I just finally gave him an ultimatum loaded with various threats. 15 minutes later I had my return label and got my refund.

Sometimes, even with bad customer service, you just need to know how to handle them.
