Been there done that. My first job out of hi-school, got fired for not wanting to work 7 days in a row, after working 6 days a week, 12 hours a day for months. I took my case to Labour Relations and was told I was in the wrong. Fawk that and move on. Two jobs later I got fired for something that I had no involvement in (I was made to be the fall guy). I left and fawk them. Never looked back. Here we are almost 30 years later and my career is doing just fine. If a job doesn't want me, I don't want them/it and will move on. To this day, I have people from 20+ years ago wanting me to work for them, so I know I have done something right.

point taken, you do what you can and move on. we are doing what we can, it just takes a long time. we have moved to a new area and making opportunities for ourselves. we did have an unemployment hearing and the judge ruled in our favor, so it would seem the employer was in the wrong.
