This has always bothered me. When a slob of a person who cannot even take care of them self gets a sub-nice/nice vehicle and you just know they are going to trash it... It makes me sick. My girls brother and his skank of a girlfriend got a beautiful 1 owner 04 GP GT2. They are the biggest slobs on the face of the earth. I mean cmon this guy can't even brush his damn teeth. He thinks its funny that he hasn't changed the oil in his blazer in 15k miles he is a total moron and does not deserve to own a grand prix. Not saying its a benz or something but that car deserves better ! That is my rant for the day ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I feel the same way if it's a car i like, usually if it's a nice GP since I own one. And I see that a lot being here in Michigan where the most of them exist, and the most get trashed. I don't hang out with any people like that, nor do I have many friends with friends like that, so I don't see too many kids that don't deserve what they drive. But I have seem some, and it does annoy me.

So they bought a car that is worth $5k...eh, you can't do much if they aren't going to take care of it. They are a dime a dozen.

I would understand your argument if it was a $30k BMW and they were just pissing the money away.

99% of the general public doesn't care that your car is a nice representation of the car nor do they care if it the worst representation...they only care if you affect them in some way (part falls of the car).

Good point, but I think we think that way because we own one. Think if you sold a car you really liked, it wasn't worth much but it was a nice car, and the next owner just trashes it.

Ahh yes, it bothers me too. I work a used car lot and watch some of dirtiest, ignorant, complete retards leave in these car's. I know they are deemed death weather it's slow and painful filth build up and ash collector's, or dumb girl driving, to failure to maintain and treat like its a race car.

Last year we had a 05 Comp G I wanted it and well some dip **** of a 16 year old had his mommy buy it. Not 24 hours later it was dropped off back at my shop. He was in my thoughts trying to do Donut's in a fwd. Broke axle and ball joint in half.

Understand but at that point you have to cut emotional ties and let it go. It is an inanimate object, I like the Grand Prix I have/had, but at this point I just want the money and for it to just go.

We don't have to let it go lol.. Never! I think a lot of people who had one misses it. So many people I've met tell me they had a GP at one point, it's crazy lol. Usually they sold it and said they wish they hadn't, or they got in an accident or something.

I wouldn't go as far as saying you shouldn't feel bad if a car you like got into bad hands. It is just a car but as history shows, cars have meant more to people than just a transportation device.

Dime a dozen. Repairs are cheap, its a car you fix as things break, tends to be pretty reliable, they can be pretty carefree; don't take what happens on the forum as a good survey of the general public, we tend to nitpick.

Depends on what you did to it I guess. If I had a rusted beater GP SE 3.1 I wouldn't really care what happened to it. If My GP somehow had another owner and that happened I'd be mad. I've put lots of time (and a decent amount of money for what I'm used to, but really not too much) into getting it almost perfect.

I agree that I hate seeing people who are "entitled" to having really really nice vehicles, then not taking care of them at all. One kid that I know at my school had a very nice brand new Silverado a couple years back. About a month down the road, I see it at school with the back window cracked, the box side crunched like a can, and I asked him how it happened. (I thought it was an accident.) He said he was just out cruisin through the woods when he tried to hill climb with it, and it slid down the hill into a boulder. Such an idiot.

Its just a GT2... I've had a low mileage one torn apart in my garage for 2 years. I'll throw it back together and you can buy it from me. I'm tired of looking at it and need space for the Monte anyway.

And you're only about 3 hours away from me.

Sorry to open this back up but I saw the mother load of a scumbag. He had a mustang with a great body on it. Had massive tips dragging the ground, blacked out windows, black wheels(black body), no license plate, weaving in and out of traffic, and purging nitrous as he was driving around. Total douchebag just beating on what could be a nice car
2002 Fully Loaded GTP. Cat back exhaust and 20% window tint all the way around(Rollin in the dark). Soon to be CAI, headers, and high flow cat.
