Glad amazon took care of you. I've actually had problems with shipping sway bars before too. Ordered the SLP set from 3800Per and it was shipped UPS. Gets to me and it's up, all mangled and had holes with the sway bars poking through. Well then I went to return it because the sizes weren't right. Shipped UPS again and made sure I taped it up all good. When it go back to 3800Per the rear bar somehow managed to fall out and was lost for good. Ups refunded me but how the heck does that happen? The drivers must not care 1 bit about the customers.

I mean do they never buy things online and have it shipped to their own house lol and say hmm that box is f-ed up maybe I should make sure I don't give someone the same experience of a beat up box lol

ya it sucks. I've personally never had a problem with fedex but ups and usps suck. Especially usps they're constantly losing ****. I wish more people took pride in there work even if it's some fantastic job.

Iv never had problems with usps or fedex or ups. Maybe few tore up things here or there. Nothing missing or broken. The only package I had that was tore up was put in a replacement box with a note basically saying if whatever it is doesn't work. Contact us and we will replace it. Also they are sorry and sometimes it happens blah blah. I've had more trouble with anything that used DHL.

The fact that the driver would deliver an empty box boggles my mind. Although, I see it all the time, so I shouldn't be too boggled.

I do a lot of shipping here at work. ALL carriers suck in their own special way.

A few years ago, I was tracking a shipment for a customer. The carrier advised me that it was damaged and I would have to do a freight claim. When I asked them how they damaged a pair of add-a-leafs, they put me on hold for 5 minutes, and when they returned told me that I had to do a freight claim. The gal got all testy with me as I wouldn't stop asking the same question over and over. The worst part is that I loose everytime I have to do a freight claim.

    Enjoy your empty box.

If you ever have a chance to see a carrier's sort facility, do so. Some of them are nasty. I saw one in town here and was amazed that any parcels make it in one piece; rollers don't take longer parcels, staff throwing and tossing parcels.

Ya a buddy of mine is a welder for a company that has a contract with UPS and he fixes their new trucks hydraulic systems.. He said one time he went to the plant and saw 2 guys pretty much tossing a 55" Samsung box to one another.. he said it struck the floor a couple of times and he would be amazed if it made it to the customer not messed up in some way.

I've been in shipping for several years now. Best guess is I have shipped 500 items Fed Ex, 30,000 items UPS, and 500-1000 USPS (both for work and personal)

I have had one lost package with USPS, and that was international to Australia.

I have had one claim with UPS.

I have had SEVERAL claims with Fed Ex, and SEVERAL other issues with Fed Ex. Fed Ex SUCKS. Their whole model is ridiculous. Having a different truck for home delivery, a different truck for business ground delivery, and a different truck for express delivery. More than once I have paid extra for express delivery, only to have Fed Ex not even attempt delivery (I know, I was home all day), then put in their little system that I wasn't home. I then call the depot and they tell me I can go pick it up if I want to. F$CK THAT! I PAID for express shipping and that includes delivery. I have went off on Fed Ex CSR's more than a few times due to their incompetence. One time I went off so bad I think I made the lady cry, but guess what.

I will never use Fed Ex for shipments if I can help it.

See my sway bar came wrapped in a bunch of bubble wrap (ebay through fedex), so there's absolutely no way an empty something could get to my door because there's no box lol. Unless they ripped off the shipping label and delivered just a label..but that would make me loose all faith in humanity.

Stealthee, I get what you're saying. I guess all carriers are are bad in there own way but none of them are consistant in the way they're bad haha. My biggest problem with USPS is their insurance. With Fedex it's automatically insured up to $100 (i believe the same is true for UPS) but if anything is lost with USPS you're f'ed. Just had this happen to me last week actually with buying something off ebay. Was shipped, scanned at the original post office and has dropped off the face of the earth. They've basically told me I'm SOL because the shipped didn't insure it. What BS since they lost it.

ebay buyer protection will cover it I believe, since it technically never arrived at your door.

USPS insures the first $50 of the package. Anything after that is your responsability, or the shippers. I just sent a dual Aeroforce setup through USPS, only cost $5.50 to be insured to $300. I have no faith in Fed Ex as well though. Lol.

Huh, when I called and filed a claim they basically told me too bad because it didn't have insurance.

I don't know much about ebay buyer protection since none of my purchases made it to the point of filing a claim, but I know others on the forum have and I'd like to see what they think. I never heard of having to have insurance unless you were offered it when you purchased it and denied.

Well it ****in happened again!!! Luckily my roommate just got home as the FedEx guy was pulling up he said the box was empty again!! So I refused the package... Damnit this is annoying! Called Amazon and they said they would issue a refund and open an investigation about the empty boxes and I should hear something in a few weeks as to the reason.. so for anyone looking to buy a Dorman sway bar from Amazon don't right now lol

^^^ exactly how I lost mine. Hole in the box and it slipped right out. Bought my Dorman from Rockauto and had no problem it was package nicely. I'd blame that more on the sender the Fedex. Even if they saw the bar laying in the truck or something they couldn't just assume who it belongs too cause it might go to the wrong place and be lost forever.

Wow man. I've ordered 2 of them so far, both from ebay and both came on time and intact (from fedex). Also it's cheaper on ebay for dorman stuff most of the time.
