i am going too say my peace without being too ironic and state my opinion hoping not too sound over opinionated myself...

people in all the car forums i go on these days seem too have there opinions, that is fine, everyone has a opinion and is free too express there opinion, i have no issues with people who express there opinion, i have no issues when people debate constructively about there opinions... but it becomes a whole different story when people are assholes with each other about it. there are people who have opinions about how they modify there cars, however when its my car and my money, its my money, i paid for the car, i worked for the money, i will do whatever i want with my car and my money i earned, and if you don't like it you may say so that is fine, but keep in mind i am still going to do what i like with my car and my money beacuse it is mine and not yours... if you don't like it its kinda too bad isn't it! this is my opinion, this is often others opinions too!

i just posted something on the forum, not going too say what i posted but i had no idea it was such a bad thing, evidently its a bad thing beacuse the first post i got was someone warning me how much crap i may get beacuse it may start a pointless and childish argument about what does better over what, and quite frankly i could give a crap less about what is better over what! i just wanted too talk about what i put in my car with a group of people who also put things on there cars, hoping i could have civilized conversation... nope i guess not, guess we are going too argue about things now like preschoolers... someone says "why did this become a new thread?" LOLWAT? ok... now i am getting snarkey comments, this is like punching someone in the face for doing something they had no idea was wrong... its just too bad really, maybe i should have expected this, its kinda like in some forums some people get angry for posting a question on something and them getting mad beacuse its already been posted once a few months ago! so am i supposed too not post? really? i could understand if its been posted several times in the last day or two but really come on people...

there is my rant, lets all get along now and be big boys and girls, thanks for listening.

    TL;DR

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Noone wants to hear you complain about people who don't like your car any more than you don't like them complaining about your car.

Welcome to gpf where everyone calls it how they see it. Get used to it bud.

Did you do any research on this site before buying the K&N? The reason everyone is giving you crap is because it's a "waste of money" (I don't know for sure so I can't tell you) and that you should have known to research to subject first and that open cones or home depot setups are better and blah blah blah. Most people forget is that the search bar is HIDDEN at the top of the page.

Deal with the heat. I've taken plenty of ****. Not so much anymore. Newer people always get it a little more. As for you complaining, don't post a thread like this when we're all going to see it. It makes things worse for yourself. Trust me.

In the time I've been here, I've seen for the most part, all of those opinions get mixed together by everyone into one main general idea of what's good and what's bad(or right/wrong, or better/worse, worth it/not worth it, etc.) For the most part, the crap you get comes from that generalized opinion and usually has some sense or reason behind it. If it doesn't, there will be others following shortly to attack it to make it "right" lol.

Since I've done my research before opening my mouth (or typing and hitting post), I've done alright around here. Once in a while I'll post something and I'll get, "Well if you wanted that, why didn't you just do this?! You went out of the way and spent more money, blah blah blah". But they're usually right unless I already knew that and did it intentionally because I wanted whatever was different about going the route I took. Of course one explanation later there's still a disagreement. Well that's the opinion part and we just have to deal with it and be happy with the way we did things. Just take what they said, decide or find out whether or not it's true, and use it for future decisions.

    It's not personal, really.

Never asked a question I didn't already know the answer to...

Meaning, if I throw something out there, I'm just gauging others opinions against my own. Never been ruffled, or unsettled because someone thinks differently, really, the contrast and opposite opinion is one I seek just in case I missed something. Gaining validation by others agreeing with me is nice, but counter productive. Just as when I agree with you, I will probably still argue to test your position on the matter! Or maybe, in a case like this... To test your mettle (see what you're made of)!

Do what ever it is that tickles you... But if you want to validate it against other's opinions, be prepared for the predictable result and don't lend too much weight to it.

It is the INTERNET after all...

Truthfully, I am all for people spending way more money than they should, helps keep "better" parts for the platform moving. But would most of us do it? No. We are cheap, that is why most of the people on here that still have their GPs dream of getting a GTO or something more expensive, because we are cheap. Why spend $300 +/- on something that can be had for less than $50... and just as effective.

As said, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. But you also have to understand, the regular Joes that are on 24/7 see these asked day after day and it does get old. Google helps fix this, but most don't use the search bar.
