Re: Why did I come to GPF? This is why...
but it wont be number 899 tho i love the low production crap. its nice telling everyone "Yep my car number is less than 1000" it makes people look at the VIN lol. If i ever found a car with the vin of 100001 then that car is coming home with me.

got another answer on the yahoo answer
Mad jack (original answer) has some good points. I have a 2002 v6 automatic and a 2000 ws6 m6 (how pleasant for you to have an endless budget). The two cars other than looks, are night and day. I too was starting to put some money into my v6. Then i realized it would never be the muscle car i wanted it to be. So an ls1 with some bolt-ons and a good tune will make around 360-370 to the wheels (look at the amount of f***s I don't give). A good head and cam package will add around a 100 more hp at the wheels.

why thank you. I like having wheels that are both older than me and the car itself
Re: Why did I come to GPF? This is why...
personally i think the IROC's look better on 'Birds than Catfish Camaros.
Re: Why did I come to GPF? This is why...
the catfishies are too rounded to pull off the look
Re: Why did I come to GPF? This is why...
Yeah I never liked the looks of the 4th gen Camaro. 1st gen and 3rd gen are my favorite Camaro body styles.
Sent from my mobile office.

LS1's with "some bolt-ons" and a tune now make 360-370 to the wheels? Go home Yahoo, you're drunk.

it is.
but techincally the LS2 parts bolt on to an LS1. so i dont see why an ls1 with bolt ons cant make more than 360 wheel.

Re: Why did I come to GPF? This is why...
The difference is in the LS motors. On the outside, yes everything looks ordinary between the LS*'s BUT it's what's inside. ;)
The LS1 (5.7) output is 300 - 325hp (year/vehicle model dependent) the LS2 (6.0) in the GTO is 400.
To get 360 (to the wheels) in a LS1 car, you'd need full bolt on AND cam swap.
Re: Why did I come to GPF? This is why...
odd, my friend made 320 to the wheels on his 2000 LS1 TA with dronemaster exhaust.
maybe the dynos are readin high around here.
i would consider an LS2 intake with 90mm TB a bolt on.
