Went outside to take pics of my stereo system that I just rewired and tuned yesterday for the forum and discovered this. My family mentioned that they did see a dog earlier running around outside. I'm just mad they didn't keep it so I could rip it apart!!!! Check out what it did to both sides of my car and the rear bumper!!!

    Image006.jpg

So I'm thinking of Flat Black-- As in sand it down and cover it in spray paint. My reasoning is that stuff like this happens to me on a weekly basis. Just the other day there was a good 6 in scratch just behind my driver rear door. And right after I got my hood done in August somone scratched the top! So because I'm tired of the loosing battle I think a good couple days making in even, and then whenever I get a scratch it's and easy fix!!

O d*** that sucks i'd be finding that dog too. It'd be goin to the pound real quick! Sucks that stuff like that happens so often especially after just gettin your new hood. I dono about the flat black though. i saw one that was flat black that looked pretty sweet but i dono if it was spraypaint or actual autopaint.

I'm sure auto paint would look better easier, but with my luck I'm looking for best possible which means easy/quick fix. I'm sure if I take my time and not pound on the paint it will all add up to an even finish.

The pound...good idea! Edit (as in find it there)

    Edit: Change my mind...Satin Black!

No, most are through the paint on each side of the car. Also the plastic piece between the windows on the passenger side is cut up! And the bumper is scratched into the plastic.

So after my furry died down I remebered I had some Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound and thought I'd give it a shot. Here are the after Pics. Most buffed out to the point that you have to get close to see anything. Except the one pic of the passenger door of the ones that made it through the paint.

    I promote Turtle Wax...haha

Well thats lookin alot better than it did not perfect but def a great improvement, good thinkin. I'm a fan of turtle wax as well. I only use turtlewax. I use the ice stuff it works really well and brings a really nice shine an it smells good too but thats just an added bonus

    I'll second the pothole idea...

I had my new F1 hood and bumper painted last january after my cousin backed into my car (in his own driveway no less!!). About two months later i found a large mark in the front bumper... man was i pissed.

Last month I took my car through a car wash that looked pretty high tech... My god my car came out with a ton of scratches on the hood. the carwash denied it was them since they just changed the cloth... grrr...
