I donno the big excitement with imports are honestly. To each there own I guess but where I came from the men had american muscle, the boys had imports.

And yes, i've been aroud some VERY powerful cars, cars most probably haven't seen on the street. 1000 HP Supra, 10 sec hatchs, dsms, etc etc. But the guys who were winning races and not breaking every week drove a domestic. This coming from a guy who was around the street racing scene for quite sometime, untill I grew up that is...

We just recently built a Eclipse out at our shop a few weeks ago, and by 'built' I mean aftermarket turbo, bored out, Eagle rods and pistons, large intercooler, head work blah blah etc....

Made some WOT passes up and down the street to get things tunned in. Yeah, it's kinda fast and the BOV sounds cool, but.... it's still a POS. Too small, poorly designed, poorly built, too much sh*t rattles, and no matter how fast it is. You still look like a dumb ass high school kid when your driving it.

Then again, when I think of a 'bad ass import with boost' I only consider something like this to fit into that category.

Well not everyone likes a domestic an some like the fun of a 5 speed import to play with once in awhile. An i would think it would be pretty fun with all the knowledge of building an stuff alot of the guys out here have to build a badass sleeper import an put all the boosted an stupid highschool kids who think they are fast to shame with an allmotor setup. An import doesnt have to be a ricer. One thing that also drives the import community is aftermarket is alot cheaper than aftermarket for a domestic. Not everyone can afford it. I personally love my domestic but wouldnt mind havin an import to mess around with once in awhile.

Well thats one way to look at it. If i was spendin high dollar for an import i would be rollin in one of these though. Not sure if they are boosted or not never really looked into them cause its a dream that likely never will be accomplished.

Damn someones got money in their pockets! I'd certainly take one if it was handed to me but my pockets def arent deep enough to come home with one of those on my own budget. Especially not right now bein as im a college student with 3 years still ahead of me.

Yeah, collage will certianly take a good chunk out of that check, better to spend money on it than a car anyways though.

... and the car is actually priced very very cheap considering what it is.

Yea but parents and grandparents have tuition and room and board and books all i really have to cover is food beyond my meal plan on those late nights or whatever. Therefore i have a small pile of parts accumulating for my car at home hahaha. Mostly just repairs though. Couple gaskets and a set of front wheelbearings. But aside from that i have an hud pod one of tdc's intakes to try out and a mps with a 3.8 and a 3.5 will be runnin the 3.8 for a while yet once i get it on till i get a few more things. But yea better not to buy a car plus it wouldnt be worth it mom says no car at school this year an maybe not next year either. An a cheap priced Aston Martin jump on it while the opportunity is there provided all is good with it. If you get that though what becomes of your GTP?

Well thats good. Always great to have help with all of that junk. If I get it, which I probably won't, but I'll certianly try my hardest to work a even better deal. I'll more than likely just get rid of the GP. I've been thinking about selling it for a while now seeing as I've been working with the Land Rover here lately. The Grand Prix has been sitting the garage for months now.

Hate to hear you thinking about selling your GP. If you do thats cool esp. for a Aston Martin, but if you part it out...better let us know! You still have the most badass rover ive seen

Yea it makes things a bit easier on my wallet. Not so much on theirs as its my sisters senior year at a diff college so this year they have the privilege to be paying for both of us to go to school. They promised us when we were little though that if we went they would pay. Well good luck to you on the Aston Martin hopefully it works out to your advantage. O landrover sounds like a fun toy to have around.

if any of you were smart you'd be thinking 95-98 240sx's with a rb25det or rb26dett sawp. around 6g's for everything and you have a light car with over 400whp most times.

The subject of IMPORTS does not belong in a Pontiac Grand Prix forum
