    The economy is one of the reasons I'm glad I'm in the military. Job security, since there's always gonna be someone who wants to **** us up.

    And besides this, my engineering degree wasn't going to pay for itself.

    WW3 is already upon us, its just a matter of when russia makes their move.

    The economy is bull**** right now, its a bunch of politicians who wont do an honest days work for an honest pay rate. they take our tax dollars and line their pockets, its in our constitution that we can completely take over and eradicate our government and start fresh in times that are exactly like this and/or the current government in place does not represent the people of the nation anymore, much like now.

    as far as I am concerned personally they do not represent me

    well then thank god for being national guard, someones gotta clean up the hurricanes mess also hey how would all the so healthy people of the US get smithfield pork without me loading the trailers? hahaha

    but on another note, whitedevil, american's wont do sheet about the government. all these days we've had a chance to fight back against gas...days where the whole nation isant suppost to buy any gas and cripple exxon and shell...

    America wont pull together due to the fact that our constitutional rights have been twisted and manipulated to fit what an individual wants/needs not what they really stand for.

    If you buy gas from citgo, shame on you, keep supporting Chavez.

    You dont have to pay taxes, there is alot you dont have to do under your true constitutional rights. However you have the IRS which is not a government agency bullying you into paying them.

    I am Ex-Army and I have served this government( pre 9/11) and country proudly, however Im not so proud of what the stars and stripes stands for as of right now. I am not un-american by any means I am just anti spineless liberalism and bull**** democracy.

    I still say, DO NOT VOTE in november, send the message that we wont take the politicians **** anymore.

    Here is a famous speech given by a famous guy who did ALOT for the future of this country

    we are in for a civil war, however the last sentence of his great speech says it all.

    Our current well hell since kennedy was shot government has failed us as a whole, they are not for the people or by the people anymore, they are for themselves and own personal gain and wealth.

    I am current military who will be on Title 32 orders December 1st (active national guard) soon after title 10 (Active Duty status) for deployment to Iraq. You think i'm for this war? hell no I'm going because of what every other 20year old is going for, Money...screw bush, screw iraq, screw this corrupt government for F'ing with what little bit of econemy has left. Your right, our constitutional rights should make Amercians be more "together" but honestly we helped the governemnt "twist and manipulate" as you said our constitional rights....we do this to ourselfs...as for voting in november, I'm debating on not voting at all...and have been before this post...

    I think not voting at all is the way to send the message, I just got done handing out over 500 pocket declerations of independence and the constitution from the heritage foundation, they were gone within 2 hours of sitting on my desk at work. People are starting to wake up slowly, I am also a life member of the NRA,which as most chicago folks know is winning the war on guns, alot of villages and townships are dropping their bans on firearms due to the wealth and great legal work that the NRA is using in favor of the true 2nd amendment.

    Its beginning to look alot like socalism, hell even President Tom( IRAN) said on larry king live that the world is watching america desinigrate** from the inside out. Thats pretty ****ing sad IMHO. Its our fault we are like this too, not only the pigs in D.C.

    Well when it comes down to the nitty gritty of all this, we ourselves are the source of this. We like to blame the gov't, blame the republicans, democrats or whoever but the pure fact of the matter is that we ourselves are responsible.

    For all the times that you have stopped and though "Those stupid idiots, how can they do that?" (offroadfury6, not to pick on you specifically, but I'll point out your recent ticket that you commented on) And in each of those cases, how many times did you try and organize and take advantage of your constitutional right to assembly? How about voting. Collectively we posses the ability to hire and fire our representatives. The problem is that instead of seeing what common ground we have and decisively voting for someone that is going to best represent us, we instead politicize everything and vote popularity or who makes the best promises, etc.

    Ive said it here before I believe and I'll say it again. We put the employees at McDonalds through a more thorough background check that we do the people that we put into office with the power to make decisions and laws that radically affect our lives.

    I GUARANTEE you that if my work had an important project that needed to be completed by Friday and I left or did not come to work because there was no agreement on how to start, they'd fire me on the spot. Yet we put up with this from our represenatives.

    I GUARANTEE you that if I mismanaged my finances and was in trouble or in danger of loosing a car or house or whatever I could not run into my employers office and demand a pay increase to cover my neglegence yet that is exactly what we put up with when we allow represenatives, whether it be locally, state or federal, to do when they increase taxes before looking at a budget and seeing where they can cut waste or save money.

    I have to, every month, look at my budget and make sure I can make ends meet and if I cant do that I have to find ways to cut back, sometimes give up things I really prefer not to or do less, etc.

    I cant vote myself a pay raise, either I work harder (i.e. more as in overtime if it is available), get another job or I scale back my expenditures yet we allow our represenatives to vote themselves pay raises, raise taxes, improve their benefits and I could go on and on and few if any stand up and say no.

    So we can gripe and complain all we want but contrary to popular believe, WE still have the power in this country and if we do not utilize that power and rights then we should also sit back and keep our mouths shut because we have only ourselves to blame for not using the tools and rights available to us to make the changes necessary.

    Im not addressing any particular person here or anywhere, just stating my thoughts and opinions on the matter.
