If you guys miss that stuff that much...maybe you should have been around when Lincoln and Mercury truly died. Aka when Ford swallowed them up years ago. Before the Big three there were many more, those got pulled in and turned into basically three main companies. I wasn't around for the demise of those companies...but I'm sure the folks that liked the thoughts of the little manufacturer etc felt the pain when the big companies bought them out, kept the name and started selling their standard car as the little guy name.
