friday i get on my bike to go home after work. start it up, but i hear a funny squeal and something starts smoking under the gauge cluster, ****.

i manage to deduce that the HID ballast burst and was attempting to start my bike on fire. i turned off the bike, ripped the seat off, and disconnected the power wire for the HIDs from the battery and drove home with no headlight. it was like 4:30, so no big deal about that.

    here are the results:

the quality just isnt there with these things. so in order to switch bulbs i basically have to tear apart the front half of my bike, which i did. i removed the entire HID kit and put the halogen bulbs back in as they are stock. little to my knowledge one of the stock bulbs has the low beam filament burned out, great. good thing honda decided to use H4H bulbs in this bike, which arent readily available (because no car in america uses that bulb size...its a JDM/EDM bulb size) and H4 bulbs dont fit without modifying them. now i have to order some bulbs online because i would like them to fit how they are supposed to.

think im gonna go with some yellow halogens instead of anything blue..

    either way, discuss.
