    Coupes suck.

    2,000lb. doors are killer.

    Find a 4 foor.

More women can fit. In the backseat and in the trunk, you know...for the...zombies?

Not reliable? See Below. Why can't you do a topswap yourself? If you can change your spark plugs and oil, you can topswap. Also, if you don't beat on it you don't need tranny upgrades.

Horror stories you say? When everything is properly installed and properly tuned topswaps are just as reliable as a factory supercharged engine.

Please inform me how a 2 door will outlast a 4 door.

I work 6 days a week so I now dont even have the time to attempt a top swap. As for the transmission if im going to be doing a top swap isnt the whole idea of one to add power and make the car go faster? Im going to be hard on it time to time. If I wasnt going to be hard on the car every now and then, I wouldnt want a L67 and would stay N/A. I would want a beefed up transmission. No issues and nothing to worry about.

You can always find someone in your area to do the top swap for you. Just find someone you know you can trust there work and know what there doing. Top Swap with parts and paying for a tune should run around $1500 all said an done? Then save for a tranny and dont beat it to death until you have enough for a new tranny. Im going to stick with my GT until I have the money for upgrades. Better compression than a GTP right?

I feel the same way. I would rather start with a GTP then put $1500 into my GT. Im sort of torn between moving to the 04+ or staying 97-03. I love the look of 97-03 but a newer car is nice to but more money.
