$1300 isn't a great price to pull a trans and swap a flex. But them those two parts alone at the dealer are likely $400 of that.

IF it is the Pressure Control Sol - GM#10478146 - Sugg. Retail is $58.18 but you would have to consider you will also need 7-8qts of fluid and would be beneficial to replace the tranny filter while its apart. So price could go up accordingly.

The flex plate is one of 2 ways...
L67 Flywheel - GM# 10478146 - Sugg. Retail - $62.99
L36 Flywheel - GM# 12609155 - Sugg. Retail - #63.10

So I would guess $1300 to be pretty high, but most of what your paying for is labor, that can get up there quickly.

lol blacked your pissed cuz some dude said your rims look like **** and destroyed your trans get over it. Most rims on prixs look like **** its a well known fact and yes our car ant fast but they can be. GTO's are decent cars but way overrated. Get a g8 lol

So a week ago my coolant light came on went to the dealer figured out it was the lower intake gasket, got raped by them $550 for everything didn't have the time to do it myself. So today i get in and am on my way to Indianapolis and i start hearing a sound and it starts shifting hard. Get back home call the dealer and take it over they look at it for over a hour not finding anything then one of there mechanics come up and tells them that it sounds like the flex plate is fitting on the flywheel. Come to find out after putting the car on the lift and looking at the flywheel there is a grove in it showing. There diagnosis is that there is a crack on the flywheel which is causing it to hit the flex plate. So by having the LIG repaired its caused the pressure in the motor to go back to normal which is in turn effecting other things. As of the tranny they say that some pressure solenoid is going bad inside causing it to shift hard. Quote to fix all $1300 f that I'm trading it in for a GTO

IMO, $550 is an awesome price for everything, to do a lim gasket job in a shop. The shop I used to work at would charge easily over $1000 without even hesitating. But they would also add in tuneup and mark up the hell out of the parts. That is also why you buy your own parts and never let a shop supply them. I just wish people would take 2 minutes out of their day to call up a parts store to find out they are being raped by markup.

How are gto's overrated? Run you around $15-20k for an ls2 powered 2 door sports car. Whereas a g8 gt is what, 30-40 grand with I think ls2, 4 door family sedan. ok, no thanks.
