Been looking around here on CL... looks like some CL haunting +$6k will get you a CompG.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

I might look at financing one from GM Optimum Used. They have low clicks and come with some warranty.

Might be worthwhile if it was <30,000 miles. Definitely not worth $11k for 75k.

Accord reliable, ha. People talk about the transmission s**king on our cars. The transmission on my Regal lasted till 200k miles with the supercharged V6 and very minor mods. On the Accords I've owned, I've had to change both the engine and transmission before 130k miles. Engine chewed up a connecting rod bearing. I guess at least the Accord doesn't have to worry about a chain stretching, but wondering if I made some real power with it the gears would split the case. That is with just the 4cyl. I'm not saying the transmission isn't a weak point on our cars, especially when modding, but I'd say it's lasted pretty well comparatively. There's a lot of hype on Japanese cars. The 2nd Accord I have now cause my girl likes it, is starting to slip the transmission when it's cold. I'm afraid to put the silencers on the fart cans as I'm sure the extra torque will have me rebuilding the transmission soon after. But daily I have people coming to me wanting to buy the darn thing, I don't get it. 3 of them pulled in my driveway and came to the door, lol.
