That is normal for cats, they tend to sharpen their claws on anything that is at their reach.

I'd be mad at your friend, it would of only taken a few to find a better spot for them. Plus as I said before, consider renting a storage unit, one of the small ones. I pay 30 bucks a month for mine, and have gotten s**t loads of use for it.

I had a kitten show up at my house a few weeks ago. The little bastard scratched me the first time I tried to catch it even with gloves on. 2 days later it came back and was sitting in front of my garage. I chased it down with a 16 gal shopvac container and 15 gallon container for washing your feet before getting in the pool. I chased it around the pool and caught it. Felt good about it cause I don't like seeing anything die if I can help it. Gave it food and water first night. Washed it and gave it more food and water the second. Next morning, it was laying dead with brown stuff coming out of it's mouth and behind. Was told it probably was dehydrated since it was the week it was 100 degrees out. I felt bad for it then and I was trying to make my girl happy, but after reading this thread, I'm reminded why I hate cats, lol.

when i was a kid maybe 13 or 14 my brother and i found a small kitten in our yard, (5 inch long body) we had a pool and on 3 sides there was 1 foot of room next to the pool and fence, well we chased this kitten around the pool till it tired out, and i grabbed it, it promptly latched on and bit my finger like i was killing it or something, so i start with the hand shake to get it off, but its sticks to me like glue, thats when i had to do the pitchers throw and threw it off me, cat flew like 40 feet hit the ground running, never to be seen again, then i had 4 nice puncture wounds to deal with, bleed and hurt a lot. good times lol

srsly. warped ass indivduals in here.

cat cannot help insticts but can be trained contrary to popular belief.

anyone performing anything other than a humane way to trap or relocate the animal should be subjected to the same punishment themselves to see how they like it.

ferrill cats are a problem all over the place, i have no problem with fluffy the house cat, but ferrill cats are as problematic as rats. if you trap them they will still be euthanized because they are not place able in a home. due to not being friendly, illness, and so on.

They can be yes. Call animal control if you want them gone. While yes some have to be euthanized, its better than trying to hurt or kill the cat(s).

You can be a dog person..

But your theory about cats sucking @$$ and not doing anything and being stupid as hell is all wrong..

See cats are really smart. Let's see:
You can leave cats alone for sometime without having to worry about it crapping or pissing all over the house.

You can't leave dogs alone for sometime, because they will crap and piss all over your house, even if they had been trained not too. Only solution to this would be to have a doggy door..

Cat's won't usually mess up a house (example: chewing up pillows or anything like that).
Dog's on the other hand will. Sad but true.

There are a lot of other things I could say, but I think I've made my point. If you have never had a cat, or been around a cat for a long time, then you just don't know.

Yes, I've been around dogs most my life and know what they are like. So you can't say that I don't know what a dog does.

Holy crap, I'm agreeing with Dipstick, I mean Fubar.

Guys.. I've had 3 cats in my life. They all loved steak and yet, I could leave steak on top of the trash can and they wouldn't touch it. Training is the key. Most people are too lazy. Blame the people, not the animal.

Most people train their dogs only because the damage is much lager if they don't. Even then.. most people don't train well and should bring their animal to a school so the owner can be trained.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

That's fine and you can be a dog and/or cat person but just because they don't make a mess doesn't make them smart or worth having around.
