I text way too much. I will text my friends just to see whats up and stuff quite a bit. I will also text my mom if I can't call her and need to tell her something or remind her of something quickly. I actually hate talking on the phone for some reason so it's just easier to text.
Great reply![]()
As I said at the beginning or well the end of my first post, I am going to have spelling and punctuation errorsBut thank you for pointing them out
I know people make mistakes in spelling and sentence structure, but that was not goal with this rant. It was more the use words not commonly associated with the English langauge as they are meant to be used.
Now I will do my liberal use of![]()

I agree with this strongly. I hate when people take the first letter of 4 or 5 words and expect you to know what the Hell it's suppose to mean.OMG LOL...
ROFL. I knew that conversation seemed familiar and recent.
I find it hard to even read text speak. It's like reading a foreign language, when you still have to mentally convert it into English before you can understand it.
I use common car forum abbreviations (CAI, PCM, etc.), but I really don't consider those text speak since they're just abbreviations for longer phrases, and abbreviations have existed in the English language well before the internet or cell phones. It's when you have an entire sentence without a single recognizable English word that it becomes annoying.
In conclusion, i h8 m'fn txt spk![]()
On the internet, you have no other way to present yourself other than how you type. I prefer to punctuate as properly and spell as properly as I can (FF's built in spell check helps) since this is my first language and I feel it reflects badly upon myself if it looks as if I don't know how to use it.
It's good practice.
As long as we're talking about these nitpicks... People who don't know the period, comma, and shift keys exist.![]()
James, just so you know, there should be a comma between the city and state in your signature. K THX BYE!
