I woke up at about 10 in the morning, and I just stepped back inside the house calling it a day on the tint removal.

I dont know what I am doing wrong, but god damn, this is honestly the most frustrating thing to do. I managed to take pretty much 99% of the tint off the driver side window, only thing that's killing me are the little tint pieces on the far left of the window, they seem impossible to get to. I also managed to get most of the tint off the piece behind the drivers side, but it's hard to take off the adhesive off the black dots.

After those two, I tried working on the back window a bit, that was and still is a ****ing *****! I took off the first layer, and some of the second layer, but most of the second layer is still on the window, and for some reason, even with the blow dryer, it's the most god damn most frustrating thing ever. IT DOES NOT WANT TO COME OFF! WHAT THE **** AM I DOING WRONG? It's like 90 degrees outside, AND I am using a blow dryer, ugh.

Burnt some of my fingers and gave up on the back window and havent touched the passenger side window yet, I am leaving it till Wednesday.

    AUGGGGGGGGGH! Seriously :\

Bright side I guess is that I am only paying the price for the tint to get them put on, a friend is going to do them and he's not charging extra to put them on, but still, taking them off and cleaning completely is much harder than applying the tint...Oh, and the passenger window doesnt open...

Steam works much better than dry heat. I stripped my tint with a shark steamer and it didn't take that long.

That was one of the first videos I seen, and I don't know what the hell he did to make it come off that easy, and in one piece.

I didn't go as far as putting the car out in the sun AND blasting the heat and defrost, but it was in the sun, and as for the back window, I went as far as doing the soapy water trick on the outside and cover it with a garbage back, and did the same thing on the inside except with Windex.

I should try getting a steamer, but I am not willing to spend a whole lot for something I may only use once.

EDIT: Now will I be able to use an iron as my steamer or would I need an actual steamer?

A steamer is best but if not available oven cleaner a razor blade and some steal wool will take car of the rest after peeling the most off

Nail polish will remove the adhesive off the tint use that and you will be able to get it off. Goof off usually does the triick for me....I would have grabbed a corner and sprayed nail polish in the tint as you slowly roll it off...also just take a bunch of nail polish and try and soack the small spots of tint you have left and they should peel off with no problem

The next time I'll be able to work on the car would be Wednesday, but I am definitely going to try that when I get the chance. I hope to God it works out. Thanks for the advice.

I usually do what the guy in the video does but I was in a hurry one day and did it when it was windy and had the adhesive sit on the windows which was a mess and I got rid of it with nail polish...

How'd it come out if you did it? Try using plastic razor blades.

Use water and shampoo (aka soapy water) best option out there thats how the tint shops do it around here I also do it that way. Just mix some shampoo and water in a spray bottle like the one windex comes in, peel of a little corner or just on the edge where the tint meets the glass. Then wait a little just enough for it to soak in but not enough to dry out and with a little razor start to peel off. Once you see it start to come off just keep spraying between the glass and the film slowly and vuala it comes off. Sure your going to get some small spots but just soak them with the mix and scrape with the razor.

I removed all windows except the back one. I had some spots where I removed the tint completely, but the rest of it was the second layer, it was so damn annoying, and after a while, I decided that taking it to the shop was the only way to go. They took it off for 50, and to put a new one back on its another 50. Much cheaper than what I ve seen other places charge. I had to do it.

Wow that is pretty expensive for tint in my opinion what kind of tint is ti here I paid around 50 to 75 for the whole car and thought it was expensive. That's why last time I just bought Gila Tint from Auto Zone and did the job myself on my bros. car.
