I never really drove that much of 485. Usually it was 77 or 85 if I headed down to Raleigh or something. I never really traveled a lot around Charlotte to get a feel for their roads. It was two short miserable years there for sure.
I do remember a funny thing when I was in the DMV up in Mooresville though. When I finally got my license in the state of NC. I think I was the ONLY English speaking person in there that day. Everyone else was speaking Spanish. I had to laugh when I looked outside in the back of the DMV office and saw a literal truck load of Mexicans waiting for one of them to get their license. I am sure it was probably a cousin of a cousin who's nephew needed his new license
