    Just chalk it up to your wife distracting you............

    Had those nights before. Takes about 15 minutes to change the oil, 2hrs later my wife called me in for dinner. After dinner went out and finished it. She still gives me a hard time about that to this day.

    Washing the car should of been that last idea though. Especially with dirty hands moving you around. The body always end up with a hand print on it.

    I chose to wash the car at the start for many reasons:

    1. -20* outside, so it would give drying time.
    2. I prefer working on a clean car because the dirt leads to scratches when contacted.
    3. The washbay is intermittently used. Best to get in and out.

    Each to their own, no right or wrong.
