While reading a relatively recent post where someone asked an honest question, I noticed one response in particular by an experienced member that took more time to be sarcastic than to actually say something useful. If you think someone posted a question that they could have just typed in google, then don't respond, you don't need to.
A good number of us try and give an honest answer to a question be it a stupid one or not and I applaud that.
For example:
"OP: Do you know where I can find a list of 1/4 mile times for GPs?
Response: Time Slips tab at the very top of the page."
See? A stupid question, but short to the point answer. Done.
I have even gone to the length of googling a question for someone who asked in chat and gave them what I found. To me, thats supporting the community not giving someone a hard time just because theyre new.
