4 motors and years around this platform?
I'm also ASE certified...whats your point?
The GenV is a VERY more efficient supercharger...Most GenIII cars will run a 3.4" pulley with headers and be knock free...GenV cars, a 3.6". A fully ported/polished rebuilt GenIII blower still can't out perform a GenV...which means it doesn't need such a small pulley size to make as much power as a tiny pullied GenIII; on the GenV.
You need to research if you are as informed on this platform as you say you are. Cammed or Intercooled GenV guys have problems running a 3.4"/3.3" knock free. Also, if you think scanning it with a TechII or revving the snot out of it at idle to check for knock is a way to scan it...is funny...because that won't show sh1t.
Enjoy taking your chances...hope you get a good discount on a motor at the dealsership you work at when you might chip a piston. Don't come back here crying since we say...we told you so.
