so if the mechanic used a copper elbow, how did he seal the ends? rtv?
i wonder how long that will hold
TR6's are supposed to be a smidge cooler.
If you're not knocking i wouldnt worry TOO much but i'd look at getting some TR6's in there soon.
Ok AL104's are out and the TR6's are in now. It works fairly the same, except that the hesitation problem that I had before I installed the cam is now gone... finally.
here's the original post:

Are you running stock valve train? Besides the cam obviously
One thing that worries me in that picture with the copper coolant elbow is the LIM gasket that attaches to the block. The little flap or what should over hang looks to be pinched behind the front engine cover, because it looks to be folded DOWN. If that's the case, then the front engine cover is not sealed up all the way.

He's right, your mechanic put the LIM side gaskets on backwards. I don't think it'll be an issue because you're still getting gasket contact on the LIM but if you get mysterious vacuum leaks in the future or oil seepage you know to take it back to him to tell him to fix it.
ok I just checked that the flap is not pinched between the block and the front cover and it's not, it's just hanging on top of it. But are you saying that the flap should be folded upwards and not downwards?
It should on the inside of the engine...not hanging out on the outside...so basically it needs to do a 180*
I went out to record a few videos, this is the one I liked best:
YouTube - GTP 0-100 km
I guess is not that all amazing considering I'm at 5000 feet. There was this HEMI pick up trying to keep up with me while I was recording this, but it couldn't.
I would get the car scanned and tuned after the cam. Probably won't be able to shift past 6000 on stock valve springs though.
