I know that alot of time has past but i just got thru reading this whole post, work got in the way lol.... Bio, im sorry for saying this and I feel like an ass but that Bold/Underlined sentence had your name written all over it

Now to the OP... Ive been on this forum for a while now, watching, learning, all that. Take all of this with a grain of salt, its brought up alot and I've gotten annoyed reading it, so i can imagine the mods having to answer and move and all that to every post day after day. Were usually laid back, chit chat, shoot the bull, and have fun so read a lil, start with the "safely modding your 3800 thread" and from there start asking questions.
Too many people have done top swaps for it to be a big danger, you just have to understand that since the engine is already at a high compression you cant do the same mods that a gtp can because the compression will be too much and unless you LIKE replacing head gaskets weekly, you'll be without a car more than you'll be driving it. Take the necessary precautions and you'll be very happy with a top swap.

Good Luck
