300 lbs? damn that's one heavy tv. my old 27" sony, the one the broke weigh at least 50 plus lbs. the new samsung i have right now is at least 100 lbs. took 2 people to carry it up stairs. i know if i move i'm going to have to sell it cause i'm not carrying down the apartment stairs again.

Use a dolly (hand-truck), that's what I did when I helped a friend move... We basically slid the TV down the stairs on the dolly.

I have found out that Sony tube TV's weigh a ton. I don't know why but they are alot more then regular tube TV's. People are pretty surprised when I tell them that their 47 inch TV weighs under a hundred pounds.

I had a 27" tube TV and it was a bear to move. When you start hitting 32-34" tube TVs, you need two people to move them. Now I have three TVs that I can move myself - 37" LCD, 42" Plasma, and 65" DLP. Wee!

Fair enough. That's why the last tube I got was 27"! I was looking at a 40" Mitsubishi, but when I decided I'd do it, Mitsubishi had gotten out of the tube business.
