SO I roll into the local car wash to give the girl a bath, only to find my favorite stall more than half covered in trash. Empty soda bottles, micky d's bags, wrappers, beer cans and more... easily enough to fill 2 large kitchen trash bags. The source? a half ton chevy pickup (2007) with the tailgate down, and a 40ish year old woman in the back with a pressure washer. Now I know what youre thinking... maybe there was some stuff in the back that needed washed out. Maybe there was a molassas spill in the bed that had all the stuff stuck in. nope... nothing but clean sheetmetal. They finished, left the nozzle laying on the ground, pulled forward into the vaccum/drying area, flung the doors open and even more stuff started flying out... no... literally flying out due to the wind. Nakpins, hamburger wrappers, dozens of candy bar wrappers, and at least 20 of those peppermints you get from sonic. They vaccumed for about 5 minutes, then left, but not before remarking about how much trash there had been in the back of the pickup. They stared at it for about 10 seconds, hopped in, and off they went.

    is wrong with people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That would have ticked me off so much I would have said something to them and/or brought it to the attendants attention if one was there.

Or at the very least, picked up the wand and started spraying it all in their direction.

Living out here in the sticks, we get every four-wheeling mud-bogging weekend warriors in ours. They always conveniently forget to wash the 3-4" of mud on the floor into the drain when they are finished. I have rolled up to find mud clods big enough I didn't dare drive over. That pisses me off.

I don't use the car washes due to those people, not a big fan of the recycled water either (we are in a sandy area, and the filters don't catch it all, you can fill a bucket and get a ton of dirt just think of that blasting at your car) all car washes (I believe may need to double check) are now using recycled water

I use the one on base. Overall, the car washes here are pretty good. I know the one on base doesn't use recycled water because a water main broke and it took out the car wash too.

Most all the washes around here use recycled water as well.... Even if the filters trapped all the sand, most washes that use recycled water do not put the water through reverse-osmosis to purge dissolved minerals and salts from the water.... That means you'd be giving your car a salt bath....

^ Its true where im at. When you pressure wash your car down here after it dries there is a noticible film that forms, like a haze. pretty much washing your car with dirty water. hand wash/ dry ftw!
