I spent a year at a private school last year. Huge mistake. It cost me way too much money. I am at a tech school right now and i might go on and get my 4 year after but I am not sure yet.

You can take solace in the fact that you still have your Grand Prix. You still have it, right?....

Several problems with everything you stated.

That was then. This is now. You can't get many jobs that pay that much without some college education.

    2. 30k a year won't get you much unless you live out in a really small town. Try living in a place like Columbus, OH or even Indianapolis, IN with a family and your own home and getting by nicely. Sure you can make it but It's gonna be pretty tough providing for your family like you'd want.

true... i agree. he retired about 7 years ago and yes i do live in a small town. but i have yet to see anyone ive encountered make a good living after college. most people around here just went to work after high school and most of em are making a decent living. this has just been my experience though.

And it's possible in small town settings. I used to live in Southern Ohio and the average home income was maybe $50k for couples and that was plenty enough to get by on but now that I live 30 minutes outside of columbus, it'd be damn near impossible to make a decent living. It basically all depends on where you live and what resources are available to you

While you pay less for Community college, you definetley get what you pay for. I am a Junior at The University of Illinois, and have had a lot of friends that went to a juco and come to the U of I and are F*cked because they don't know how hard you have to work at a big university instead of skating through juco. You will have your education for the rest of your life, why want to skimp? Educating yourself is the best investment you can make.

I will actually, most likely, be out of school next year due to the loss of my scholarship.

WHy? Because they are not being lenient at all with my first semester grades. I failed 2 classes due to attendance after I wrecked my Saturn, then got pneumonia, then got strep throat so I missed about 3 weeks... I got 2 C's in my other 2 classes but they SHOULD have been F's for the same reason. The professors took mercy on me. HOWEVER< the amdinistration is not wanting to help... so, If I cant get my GPA back to a 3.25 by the end of the summer classes period, I'll be giving NSU the finger, working for a year, and then going to Washington state, preferably Tacoma/ Seattle, and will go to a community college there, before transferring to a larger Washington college. **** NSU.
