I'm 32 years old, I started drinking at 16 and smoking at 19. I never liked drinking that much I just tried it a few times, I've been drunk several times in my life and I honestly don't like the sensation and I don't miss it I actually avoid it like a dissease. Now I rarely have a drink, only once every 3 or 4 months and I don't like the taste of alcohol. I just have one or two beers and then order a coke instead which is another addiction I'm trying to get rid of too D=
I smoked for 9 years and I quit it over 2 years ago and it was one of the hardest things I ever did, but I'm glad I did it. The down side is you really never stop feeling like smoking, sometimes I still have the need for a smoke but It's very easy to control now.
In short, any type of addiction will cost you lots of $$$, health, friends and maybe your life, you really never get rid of them and they don't give you anything in return except feeling stupid.
