i got a 98 gtp, i got stuck in our lane and snow drifts were 3 foot in some places. i had just made it about 15 miles to get home and here i-m stuck in lane, i was whipping the steering back and forth and almost out when suddenly wham, no steering. i raised the hood and the p.s. pully and about a 6 inch shaft were just dangling and belt and fluid everywhere. first time i have ever had a p.s. pump do this. oh well fix it when gets warmer out. at least advance auto says i can still trade it in saves 30 deposit. anyone ever had this happen?

I wonder how low the fluid was...last summer I randomly checked my fluid and the dipstick was dry, yet my pump made no noises and I had no leaks on the ground...
