I'm looking for the best option to get a PCM tune and I had my reserves regarding looking for a local "tunner" because I thought they might be morons and I was right. I just stopped by a shop in which the guy basically takes any car and makes a custom exhaust for it with one or two turbos mounted on it, then he does the "PCM tune" and sets it to 16lbs with no other mods whatsoever and watches you blow yourself to pieces.

Well anyway I asked about a PCM tune for a 98 GTP and he didn't fail to disappoint me, he said that he didn't have the "program" for that car. So I asked him and he confirmed that he didn't do custom tunes, he just downloaded some and loaded them into the PCMs, for that he charged 500 dollars. But it didn't end there, instead of asking me if I had already set a lower temp tstat or cold air intake, he instead told me that I HAD to drop pulley size if I wanted to change the PCM programming. Also, just as I was leaving he said that he could hook me up with NOS if I wanted.

I'm only glad that idiot is not a doctor and keeps his crap to vehicles. At least I'm now convinced that I have to get a mail in PCM regardless of the shipping costs. Hell it's even cheaper to get one even if I don't send back mine for the core cost!

Besides that shop, I've seen one or two more, but I won't even bother to stop by those.

HAHA definately tuck tail and run from that guy or anyone who has any affiliation with him... wow thats crazy... *wonder what he would do to a honda* HAHAHAHA

this summer after i get my income tax and order some headers, build a FWI, and get a 3.4 and a couple other supports im going to run down to Dallas, TX... RPM motorsports is where my buddies tune their F-bodies, so IF they can tune l67s ima have them tune mine... otherwise ill prolly send off to intense or somewhere and keep my core so i can always go back to stock if needed
