As a parent, of a 20 and 18 year old, I feel for you missing out. However, do you realize how much most of us parents spend just on the extras for our offspring? By extras I mean beyond the normal needs? It's pretty hard for us too.

I can understand your frustrations, cause I have been there. I also agree with IndeedSS that parents do incur lots of costs for their children. But yes it does stink. I remember when I was in college and arguing til no end about them claiming me. In good time, you won't have to worry about it anymore

Hmmm, I wouldn't mind giving up claiming my two, if they wanted to take on the weight, of food, clothes, housing, student loans, etc. I would come out way ahead...them not so much...I do understand where you are coming from. As I understood it, I thought everyone that works gets some type of monies.
