Not much. Having a minority government at times helps though.

If you dont vote you either A dont care or B arent old enough. If you are old enough and dont vote your voice means nothing and you shouldnt speak at all. And for Matt 5112 I live an hour and a half south of Canada in Grand Forks ND. You should see how many Canada plates is see driving south to shop or more importantly use the US hospitals. Im not even gonna start on Canada healthcare. And I wont just go off bashing anyone from there I have family from their and respect them just not their healthcare program. Its where ours is headed. As for a resloution..... Nothing changes over night nor did we get this way over night. But galavanting around the world instead of doing a DAMN thing about the 10% of the US with out jobs would be a good place to start!! Among the other domestic issues that certianly cant get solved over seas. Unless hes looking for more Chinese money which is flat out foolish considering they already have a pretty tightgrip. And lastly I think voting for a minority is a wasted vote when was the last time an independent won the presidency??

Uhh shop yes.... Come for hospitals...? No, I would have to see proof of this happening first the only way I could see it would have to be where some kind of specialist was needed.

Yeah shopping is cheaper down there because everything is.

Hospitals... not so much. In Canada, we pay enough tax that people feel obligated to use our own health care system. The only people who go down to the states are filthy rich so they can afford to skip lines or if they want to see a "super" specialist.

Whoever said Obama is a fascist you are retarded straight up. How can he be both a commie and a fascist? The political pendulum has been swung to the right for far to long and you guys are so close to fascism it's not even funny, I could tell you things about both bush's, reagan, Nixon etc that you wouldn't believe because that "just doesn't happen here".

Get your heads out of your asses and all the people that say "I voted Mccain... So I R BETTER THEN YOU, YOU GUYS FAWKED UP NOT ME" which probably means you voted Bush in both times right? So who effed up now? He's attempting to fix what Bush did wrong for your country let him have his time, it hasn't even been one year this isn't a slap on a bandaid problem this is open heart surgery has to be done delicately and slowly.
I never said I was better than the idoits who voted for Obama, but I did make what I think was a more intelligent choice. Yeah, I did vote for Bush twice....so I am and idiot for that and I can be "blamed" for the things he did. I voted for him becuase the people who ran against him were the lesser of 2 morons. If the democrats had put up Lieberman, I would have voted for him, because I, for the most part, agree with him. As for the people who ***** about the system when they haven't voted....shut your mouth. You have a right to an opinion, but just as your vote didn't count, your opinion doesn't count.

If you don't agree, fine...but STFU about calling him a commie and a facist, I never called him either. I just made a reference to the fact that Hitler did the same thing when he took power, doesn't necessarily make Obama a facist. Hitler built the autobahn, so I guess that any president that built a Road must be facist too. Great logic, too bad it is so easily proven wrong.

I also have never said that I think the US is always right, we have made very bad decisions in the past, but that is human nature. What I will do is stand by my country because I believe in the values and freedoms set forth by the Constituation. I love my country with all my heart and would die for it to protect it from all enemies foreign and domestic.

As far as health care, its a non-issue. I work my A** off and to provide heath care for my family, 50-60 hours per week. Why should my taxes go to pay for heathcare for others? As it is, I am already paying for benefits for people who are able to work, but CHOOSE not to, why should I have to pay more. In a typical year, I have to work 3 months just to pay for my taxes. I made a choice work hard in school and go into debt to go to college, and now I am getting rewarded for my hard work. "Others don't have that opportunity...blah blah blah. When I was growing up, BOTH of my parents worked and between them we were still in the lower middle class, but they instilled a good work ethic and stated that if I worked hard, I would be rewarded. I was never helped along my entire path, I HAD TO WORK HARD TO GET AHEAD, and now I am rewarded with a great job. That is what being an American is all about. Not "The government owes me, it is my right!" Where is the personally responsibilty? Gone, People now think that have an entitlement to this, well they don't.

There is a reason people from all over the world immigrate to the United States, and it isn't because we suck. It is the "AMERICAN DREAM!"

PS...Don't forget that for the majority of his terms, Bush had a DEMOCRAT run house and senate, so anything that happened is also their fault. Bush doesn't make the laws, he just signs them into law...after CONGRESS gives their approval!

All I've gotta say is that there are people who need help and there are people who abuse it.

You can either sit back and help no one, or attempt to help those who need it.

Theft is still an issue in our world so if you consider that, why are you shocked that people abuse other aspects of society?

I completely agree, which is why I stated that people who chose not to work and suck off the hard working taxpayers are the ones to blame...I have no problem with helping people who need it as long as they have done everything in their power (other than breaking the law) to help themselves. I have seen generation after generation of families from my old hometown who refused to work because they would lose all of their benefits, so they just stayed home and had more kids to receive more benefits. Then their kids did the same thing. What a horrible situation, the only thig the kids know is that if I don't do anything, I get rewarded.

I am not shocked at the people abusing society...I see it everyday. But when someone breaks the law "theft" at least there are some consequences...if caught. The people who refuse to work have no consequence...they just get more and more benefits.

If we had a graduated benefits system that made it an incentive to be a productive member of society it might work better, I just know that giving people more of something for nothing is NOT the answer. And I should not have to pay for their non-working benefits from my hard earned money.

Nothing is gonna seem right for a while, I'll grant that. But nothing that is happening is a step in the right direction yet IMO. "A government is best which governs least." I vote we all put money together to buy a private island. We can call it GPland and cover the whole island with concrete that way grand prix's can drive wherever, whenever they want.

That depth was missing from your first comment there. Sure it was implied but you can't imply you're logical. Good to hear it still exists in other people.
