eh i dont know how i feel about top swaps... my bud just spun a bearing after doing one...
grab a lightly modded/ stock gtp that hasnt been abused for $2500 from the boards and call it a day
but if you must get a gt, get one with all of the options and just enjoy it. you can always go turbo
kinda got off subject didnt we!!!!!!!!!!!! look you should buy what you want but look for a private owner and sell your car yourself
^^That is why you drain all the fluids before hand![]()
obviously you guys dont and have not worked for a used car dealership before...its a business...they are there to make money. I promise you that dealer didn pay more than 3k for that car so either way he is gonna make alot of money off of you. some dealers mark their cars up high so when they take a 1000 dollars off it makes you feel like your saving alot of money when in reality...they make a killing on you. cuz some people dont care what the price is they just want it. Other day I sold a WS6 for 20k...granted he got a warranty but thats still very high for that car...If you dont buy that car its not gonna break his heart because right now the used car market is beginning to make a dramatic turn around.
O and btw...cash for clunkers did nothing but HELP used car dealerships so i dunno why you think that...
I bought a 99 GTP for 3500.00 fully loaded. IT had high miles bad tires and a few minor issues, but still looked good and ran good. This was from a good local dealer in the metro Atlanta area.
I really understand both sides of this but I just bought a 03 gt about 1 year ago and the only thing that I wish i had was the Super charger. dont get me wrong i do love my car its nice and fast but my mom owns a 06 gt with the super charger and it just a completely different car. Id say get two cars next to each other that your looking at and test drive them both a few times and compare the pros and cons. and then shop around. that is the other thing that i wish I would have done alot more of. I spent to much on my car and i didnt get quite what I wanted. So shop around, drive a ton of different grand prix, and dont be afraid of making the dealers go lower on their price. If they say that isnt possible walk away just like you did and theyll call you if they really want to sell you a car. they will call you and give you an offer then tell them if it was 1k less you would consider. Like the people on here have said it is a business and they will make money its really up to you how much. Get what you like happy shopping
IMO... I would walk away from it unless you really..really want it. Look at how much they were trying to stick you for in the first place. That's IMO.
GET A GTP!!!
I was just shopping for a GTP and a Regal GS both are supercharged. I was finding them from$2,000 to $10,000 for a 2003 GTP with 50k miles on it.
Was gonna buy a GS for $5,500 but the dealer couldnt get financing for the age of the vehicle, i needed cash or a personal loan. I ended up buying a GTP for $1,200 that needed a lil work.
Def should find a nice GTP for under $8k.
Hey lambo, there is a car just like yours down the street from me. I had to look at your location to prove it wasnt it. Same thing in primer grey.
Pretty sweet btw.
