Suck i mean most people are rude and just looking out for them selfs. I know with anyone our own lives come first but If it doesnt put you out to help ohers then why not help...
I was detailing my car the am and saw a guy in a motorized wheel chair stuck in the middle of the intersection. His battery connection was faulty and cars just honked and drove around him like he was doing it on purpose. Me and anoher guy at the carwash went and helped get him to the side walk and i tightened his battery up BUT is that what this world has come to.
And then i was in my moms f150 after tunning it up and some chick yelled "wtf are you looking at fatasz cause i looked over cause i heard there brakes grinding. for the next 3 stop lights they were right next to me at every light she would make hella rude comments...
is wrong with people... and yea im fat big deal she was a good 275 lmao

maybe its the heat i dunno

I am pretty sure it is every walmart. I hate even going in there because everyone is either rude or they have 5 kids running around the store and the parents aren't even paying attention to them.

The quality of people have degraded immensely. I am appalled at how bad people have gotten and I honestly am ashamed of my own generation. Which is why I tend to hang around people older than me, they're more fun anyway.

But I feel your pain. I went on Quantico the other day to the Commissary and was absolutely astounded at the behavior of Military spouses and families. I grew up an Army Brat, I remember how nice people used to be. Then again I was a little munchkin so maybe I was cuter :P ... but I just can't believe how selfish people are nowadays. I could go on and on and write a book about instances where people are just jerks in an unnecessary situation.

Most of the time it's letting people over in lanes or letting people out. It's not that hard to wait two seconds so a car can get in front of you in rush hour. Needless to say I hug the bumper of other cars on rush hour, but if I see someone waiting to get out or through... I 9 times out of 10 let them out. I'd rather go against the current and pay more kindness to fellow man than be self-centered and out just for myself.

And what really grinds my gears is when I hold the door and they don't even acknowledge me. Half the time I want to whack 'em with the door for being so rude. But instead I vocally (and kindly) say "You're welcome!" and keep on going.

    /book

I remember going to Quantico on a Friday, I will NEVER do that again, EVER. I think my blood pressure went up relatively high after that day.

I hate that!! And there always seams to be some kid that is just screaming and pitching a fit. I don't like my job but I really need a job so I can't just quit. I have to suffer until I find a new job!

I usually try to be polite and hold doors open and such for people. If I driving and there is one car that wants in I will usually let them in. I am never in that big of a hurry that the 5 seconds it takes to let a car in will make me late. If there are a bunch of cars waiting usually I will let one in and then I will go. It seems that if you let one in everyone else behind them thinks they get to go too and I get cut off.

I think the reason kids are always screaming and such is because of the parents. Alot of parents are afraid to disipline their kids. When I was younger I wouldn't dare throw a fit in a store because I knew what would happen at home. Keep in mind that I was never abused, I would be spanked if nessecary. Looking back I think it was good of my parents to do it because I learned my lesson very quickly. I had to eat soap on more than one occasion and when i was grounded it wasn't just not being able to watch tv. It was no tv, phone, computer, and I had to help out with any and everything around the house. I always had chores in the summer and was asked to help out. I think parents now just let their kids do whatever they please and don't punish them when they do something wrong.

Damn straight...that is the best thing ever. I am so glad I am not the only one who thinks like that. Grew up in a old Italian household...there was no spanking, you got the stink eye...and if you didn't listen to that it was a full on blast across the face, no matter where...hell I got it once in church and my grandpa told me "That was the wrath of God"...sure. But, I grew up from that and learned and I'll be damned we need to beat the parents that don't discipline their kids. People that allow their kids to run, kick, and scream all over the place I just kinda sit there and stare and wonder...

Its almost like your not allowed to disipline your kids. I was disiplined by spanking and I think it work better than "time outs". But there is always someone that disagrees with you ready to turn you in for child abuse.

ppl come in the store, we great them, ask if we can help. they will look right at us and ask someone else on the other side of the store for help.......we then refer them back to the same person that they ignored.....
we all have good days and bad, but try not to indulge your self in others selfish behavor.

Well, your right. Walmart is the first job I've had where I am part of a large company. My first job was a privatley owned graphics company. There was a maximum of 4 employees. My next was working with my father in his electrical company. The company consists of 4 employees, my dad, my mom,my sister, and me. Needless to say walmart is teaching me patience and tolerence. But I will find another job someday! I hope!

During the downriver Dream Cruise this year these girls in this mustang pulled next to me and they were holding a sign that said 'Honk if you're horny' (these girls were like 17 and the 2 girls in the back seat were 10, faces painted.) I look over because I heard one of the girls yell, and she wasn't yelling at me just yelling in excitement I guess. Anyways they end up stuck further in traffic then my lane, then all of a sudden the girl threw a sucker at me and called me a f*ckin c*nt. I pretty much almost threw my car in park and left it there to beat her ass

But really, no one has any decency for other human beings anymore. People just don't care, they want to look cool and apparently talking sh*t is cool

Yea every now and then I see people being kind and civilized but for the most part the mentality of people these days is for S#!t, Yesterday about 11 on my way home i pulled over to check a tire and a guy pulled over less then a minute later asking if i needed help... I didnt but thanked him. Its proof theres still some kind people in this world they are just far and few.

Thats kinda why I like most of the car forums im on the majority are willing to help lend advice and what not, or lend a hand if close enough...

I have been seeing this for many years, now. It's not just you, it's not just Walmart, etc. There is nothing like working retail to completely loose hope in mankind. I manage a nutritional supplement store that carries higher end products, so you have to have some cash if you're shopping there (in other words, these are the opposite end of the financial spectrum compared to Walmart shoppers). Yet, I too watch parents let their kids run around, mess up price tags, move around products to totally different aisles, try to open products, etc all day while their parents just stand there, totally consumed by their consumerist needs. It doesn't even phase them that this is going on. In fact, they're pretty much oblivious to it. Yet if anything were to happen to those kids (i.e. tripped and fell, and cut their heads open), WE'D be the ones getting sued for THEIR negligence!

Sure, some parents fear disciplining their kids due to legal issues, but I think the FAR bigger reasons for this is because parents want to be seen as "cool" and "friends" by their kids, and even more importantly, people are unbelievably lazy nowadays. It is no wonder video games have taken off like they have. They've become the new babysitter. Give them $60, let them go down to the local Game Stop, get their favorite new game, and shut them up for hours at a time. Hell, one of my sisters used to babysit, and at LEAST half the time, the moms were home while she was there! They just didn't want to deal with taking care of the kids.

I have also dealt with my share or moronic drivers who don't care about who they're wrongfully inconveniencing, or who they may be endangering with their driving antics (cutting you off to get in your lane, slamming on their brakes with no turn signal because they just realize they need a right here, etc). And don't get me started on people's lack of appreciation when you do something for them. I'd say at LEAST half the time, I don't get acknowledgment when I hold a door open, or allow them to get in front of me in my lane, etc. For being as uncommon as it has become, you'd think it would warrant some kind of reaction from most people. I still remember going to Chili's with my sis a few weeks ago, and there was a lady on a walker (whe wasn't that old, just had some kind of hip problem) struggling to open the door. There was a teenage guy and girl sitting on the outside bench RIGHT THERE, and they didn't do anything. So I sprinted to the door just as she was starting to fall, and grabbed her by one arm while grabbing the door with the other. She thanked me up and down for doing so, and offered to buy as drinks 3 times, which I declined, telling her it was unnecessary, but thank you. Meanwhile, the 2 douchebags continued to yap away, just sitting there.

This is what this country has come down to. Gone are the days of the original Americans who built this country, and set up its initial ideals and principals of taking pride in your work, and working your ass off till the job is done right/to get what you want. What we are left with now is a collection of self absorbed, oblivious, lazy, whiny, apathetic people that believe they're entitled to everything, and have no sense of responsibility. We don't care about ANYthing outside of making things as easy as possible on ourselves. Why are we so behind on everything in this country compared to other industrialized nations? Why, in spite of our wealth as a nation, are we not on par with Europe or Japan when it comes to schooling, electronics, cars, etc? Simple. Because we have no pride in anything we do anymore. Oh, sure, we CLAIM to be very proud people, but let's get real, talk is cheap. When it comes time to put your money where your mouth is, most people can't walk the walk. We clock in late for work, surf the net while the boss isn't looking, do a half ass job/the absolute bare minimum on the few things we get around to doing, pass the buck on the things we don't want to do to the next guy, and then we go home "tired after a hard day's work", and complain that we don't get paid enough, or that our benefits suck. We talk about how much we hate being fat, and want to loose weight. We claim we want it very badly, yet, we don't want to put any work or effort into making that happen. We scour the stores, the net, the magazine ads, etc looking for a magic pill that will allow us to loose the weight without having to go to a gym, or making any sacrifices in our diets. When it comes down to it, we are all talk. We have grown weak and pathetic. We want everything handed to us on a silver platter, because we are ENTITLED to it!

The problem with such a lazy and apathetic society is that it makes for the types of people you're describing. Rude, inconsiderate, lacking any class, manners or self discipline, etc, and I don't see it getting better any time soon. In fact, it will only get worse as we keep ACCEPTING the constant lowering of our standards instead of being appalled by it. How can one conceive ever reversing such a trend? All you can do is take care of your own, and figure out how to best handle what's thrown at you by the brain dead masses.
