Whatcha do is go over to these folks' house for a visit. Pee in the bowl but then also pee in the tank. So later they are disgusted by the piss pot then try to flush it away buy only more pee comes out. Hahaha! Seriously, a couple short-lived employees have been from the "If its brown, flush it down. If its yellow, let it mellow" camp. Not stereotyping but they were both hispanic. Anybody who plays "funny stuff" with poo needs an ass whoopin' and nose plant like a dog.

True story. This is one of the reasons I had to leave the restaurant business. Everyone has the customer is always right mindset and thinks that the entire world revolves around them. If they don't get what they want and now they throw a huge hissy fit like a 2 year old trying to get some candy from the store. I do still have to deal with it every once and a while at my current job, but 99% of the time I can just tell them that they need to talk to their salesperson.

I got out of retail 12 years ago and have been in wholesale since. Sadly, the stupidity is flowing into the wholesale side. The more you hold people's hand, the more they rely on you. I chuckle when I try and teach people things that will help them be more efficient, and they react like I am trying not to help them. Yesterday I have a customer lose it no me because I wouldn't give him a discount on an item, even after discounting the other two items he wanted.

The whole "the customer is always right" mantra needs to go the fvck away. I would say that probably 90% of the time the customer is WRONG. You have the impatient assholes who order something one day and are upset they don't have it the next. You have the incompetent morons who order the wrong thing, then want you to fix it on your dime and blame you for sending what they ordered. Then you have the dumbasses who want to kiss the customers' asses because even though they know the customer is wrong they think "the customer is always right" and they do nothing but make it harder on you while they don't have to deal with any of the real bullsh!t.

Another one of my fav's is when a customer calls and orders a part by part #, then calls two days later and says that I sent them the wrong part. Or the customer that calls and says "send me the same parts as yesterday", then calls the next day to say that we sent them the wrong parts.

I 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000% agree. all it does is give them power to make you life hell because they messed up and want your business to eat there mistake. Like yeah when you pay my 941's and my rent and all my over head for 2 months then i will bend over but not untell then

I've got a few quick ones for you.

Customer is down and we sell them a new 400hp motor to get them back online. We take their old burnt up motor and set up to do a complete rewind because its toast. A few days later they call to tell us the brand new motor we sold them burnt up. Owner and service call guy both try to tell them they have an electrical problem because there is no way 2 good motors are just going to burn up in the exact same way. They insist we are idiots and don't want to pay for the new motor, nor the work on the rebuilt one because we don't know what we are doing. Mind you, our company has been in business over 50 years.

They buy another motor off another company and, guess what? It burns up the EXACT SAME WAY. They take the rebuilt motor and it burns up. They still insist the problem is with the motors.

Its amazing how many times we deliver a new motor to a customer because "its bad" and they are down and we bring back their "bad" motor and test it and there isn't a damn thing wrong with it.

maybe you should try a nice picture book to show them how to install the motor. Hell if they are ordering a new motor they should know how to install it and check for faults. also if the motor is "bad" why are they not checking it when its still in the crate? I would turn the motor over by hand to see if everything is moving as it should be. hell even when i buy a used motor i make shre it moves before laying any money down. The time it takes to install and then remove an engine can be alot of time. Billboost37 maybe able to remove and replace a 3800 block in 1 hr but he just that dame good.

Had to build a little guard going underneath a ramp that parts slide off of so that people can't crawl under. There's a robot on the other side that picks up parts out of a die cast machine and puts them on the ramp to go to the trim press, that thing swinging around would kill someone without flinching. Guys crawl underneath there while it's running to make adjustments. My best example of stupidity so far

Background info: 24 volt system in our trucks, about 150-300 amps right off the alternator. The fuel they are built tip use right now is JP-8. Jet Propellant formulation 8. Jet fuel. Lol

We can not connect the battery cables in our own HMMWV's, because our "mechanics" can not even do it correctly...when there is a very simple diagram, with pictures, bolted to the battery tray.

Prime example, today a truck caught on fire because the "mechanic" connected the cables to the opposite terminals, and the ground connects to the frame in the back of the truck. Right next to the parking brake cable, which is routed next to the brake lines, which also run next to the fuel line once they reach the engine compartment.

So when your brake lines glow red hot, and run next to rubber fuel lines...coming right off of the fuel pump also located in the engine compartment...

Today was fun. I almost got a truck exploded with me in it.

P.S. I use the term "mechanic" EXTREMELY loosely.
