I'll explore the air duct think a little more after I go to the playground(JY).

Bill, a couple more electrical questions. Do you have the wiring diagram for the olds intrigue 7 pin interior mirror w the compass? Also, what is this. I thought I had heated mirrors, but I noticed this connector and that nothing was plugged into it so maybe I don't have the heated mirrors.

Where did you get the puddle lights?

mirror heat only comes on when the rear defroster is on, if they still work they do get warm.

love that feature, being it snows and gets cold here.

and the power/heated mirror only has one plug.

not sure what that other one is, speakers maybe? time to follow the wires lol

Maybe it's for the tweeter? I don't have stock speakers and that could explain it.

Sure looks like the mirror connector to me. It's in the right area. Maybe try that mirror out and see if it's working.

The tweeter connector is a two pin connector, black in color.. red/black wiring that comes off the stock 5.25"
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

The mirror works. That's what the connector that is there is running to. I took that mirror off yesterday. I'm just wondering what that other 2 pin connector went to. I don't have any stock speakers. If it wasn't for a tweeter or something I have no idea what it could be. I may have to pull out the GM Service manuals.

Wow..didn't notice it there on the first read. Brown wires... that's the heating circuit for the mirror.

Interesting. So I guess I don't have heated mirrors. I'll have to add that to the JY list. I imagine it's just plug n play since the harness is already there. How do you disconnect the mirror from the housing?

Grab mirror...quick pull. They have ball sockets on them. That's all that holds them on.

Does the harness go straight to the mirror itself? Also, do you have a link for your puddle light mod?

my mirrors are heated, and i only have one plug for the mirror.

if you pull the inside of part of the glass out as far as it can go, i think you can see the wires for the heater pad.

Pretty sure I didn't do any write up. I ran the door light circuit up to the mirror put them into the connector (yes..that's me..lol) and then drilled one hole in the bottom of the mirror once I figured out placement of the light. I used some oznium lights. Take a look through the build etc..it's all spec'd out.

Found your thread. any chance you have a part number or where you got the puddle lights from? If I'm getting this hardcore, I may have to try to add your turn signals in mirrors as well. We'll see though. I need to not get too distracted. I could always wire in the the connections for future use.

Also, please explain "Added power outlets in console (Aurora/Intrigue)".

12V Tiny SMD LED Modules : Super Bright Surface Mount SMT LEDs Straight..black with white light.

On both sides.. because you know what a serious pain in the regal it is to remove the outlet to pull the center console.

It's the right time to wire the turn signals if you want them. Just run the wires into the doors and into the mirrors. You'll never regret doing it (except while you are doing it..lol)

    Placement guideline

    Sludged

    Wires added into factory connector

    Then to the mirror connector

    Why stop there?

It's the right time to do any of this stuff as I'm deep in it. Only issue is I'm already way over budget and I keep blowing like $10 a day on miscellaneous poop. Also, What did you use for interior lighting?

Then stop asking me questions. LOL

Running wires (assuming you have a few pieces laying around) is free.

AutoIllumination for interior and exterior.. it was pricey.

Ha, yeah, well I should have some wire around. I think I will run some wires "just in case". My list of JY crap is growing. Hopefully I can get out there Sat and it's not too hot.

I put sound deadener on the outer door skins of the 3 doors that I still have to sound deaden. I'm waiting for some wire loom to arrive before I do the inner door panels. Also waiting to do some wiring as well. I really don't think I love the puddle lights, but I'm going to put a wire off of the door courtesy light and run it into the mirror housing just in case I change my mind.

Ordered some arrows to put in the mirror for the turn signals. Turns out my mirror is indeed heated. I'm almost positive that the empty wiring harness was for the stock concert sound 2 tweeter which isn't there anymore.
