The front isnt quite long enough compared to the one seen being tested, and i will be disappointed if they get rid of the round tail lights.
I'm not really a Corvette fan, but I know one thing... you can't get rid of the dual quad round taillights. Honestly, it looks like a Camaro from the rear and a Ferrari front.
Well...nothing about this rendering is official by any means, so there's plenty of room for changes before the actual production version is implemented.
who cares what it looks like will it have anything when lined up next to a viper? Doubt it since gm pisses everything down their leg. The camaro gets owned by the gt500 and the new viper will make the c7 its bit@h. Good luck gm even a dumpster gets a steak once in a while so maybe gm won't turn its flagship car into a laughable mess!
im less concerned with the looks its gonna look badass just because of the corvette badge it just always equals badass. what i wanna know is what power plant will be in it, they need to top the ZR1 they need to break 750hp, the camaro does lose to the gt500 BUT the gt500 was meant to compete with a Corvette ZR1 not the camaro and the ZR1 comes out on top eveytime
The GT500 was never meant to compete with the ZR1... Look at the price. The GT500 starts at $55k sticker price. That's less than half the price of a ZR1. I hope the ZR1 beats it or Chevy has some explaining to do.
I like the comment, "Looks like a Camaro raped a 458" and, it kind of does.
yeah the back looks too much like a camaro. if they get rid of the dual quad round tail lights a lot of people will be pissed. they are iconic for the corvette. and i also agree with a major power breakthrough being needed. the problem with that though is the government trying to regulate cars' gas mileage. i heard talk a couple years back that gm might make the c7 vette a v6 twin turbo because of that which would be a huge mistake. you cant downsize the engine lol, if anything go up to a v10, then the vette would rape the viper lol.
GT500 has such high gearing it even avoids the gas guzzler tax. There are ways of doing things... Chevy has yet to figure it out. I seriously don't see why any American car makers aren't putting turbos on their big players instead of superchargers. We know superchargers have a ton of parasitic drag, sure turbos have a bit of lag, but Ford got around it using two different sized turbos on their 3.5l Ecoboost models.
im all for going turbo. just dont downsize the engine lol. a corvette cant be a v6, that would hurt gm and it just wouldnt be a corvette. to me at least lol
no turbos no v6 no v10. they should just supercharge a larger displacement v8
Doesn't everyone realize that the corvette will never have a v6?
It's all about a power war right now.
New looks, new power.... Emissions isn't high on the list. Money talks its way around alot of things.
So gm figured out hey the cobalt ss is a better car with a snail think they will have the brains to snail a zr1 engine instead of screwing it?
