I was assuming the S&S flange was the same as the TOGs, sorry, like I said I havent seen them first hand.

SLP's use donut gaskets, I'm not sure about TOG's. But Pacesetters use a joint flange that may take a little RTV to seal, but I've never had a problem with that part though.

SLPs are a slip joint with band clamps. There isn't a single gasket on them.

If your moderately supercharged, you may want to stick with the pacesetters and correct the leaks instead of going with headers that have 1 5/8" primaries and the S n S headers supposedly have a 2.5" collecter thus more restrictive for your setup.

Well the mods are in my sig. Says on the link that ron vaugel went 11.19 with these headers on his car. So it doesent seem to be to restrictive for my goals.

A good point was brought up, you'll be fixing a leak but adding a restriction. Save teh money and buy a Gen V.

wow....ummmm....how is that going to fix my exhaust problem??

It was stated that Ron ran 11.19 with these wrapped headers on his car. So do you really think it would be hurting me any for a mid to high 12's combo?

    Not really no.

You've gotta be over 325WHP right now anyway, and I just saw you already have a p/p blower so forget a gen v, not worth it in your case.

I would fix the leak before I bought new personally. I'm sure you could sell them and get a few bucks right?

The only other problem I have heard with S&S's is that they made of a mild steel construction. Not quite as beefy as some of the other companies' headers. And wrapping them is not the best idea. You are best to go with the Ceramic Coating to prevent rusting. And wrapping them will cause just that, rust.

I myself have the "baby" TOGs. They are only 1.5" primary tubes and it has the 3" Collector. They are a bit of a pita to install. Just ask Reptile

Yeah there already sold actually. Now let me ask you guys this. If i went with the togs with the 1 5/8's primarys and the 3 inch collector do you think that would be enough to support me current combo comfortably?

I don't want to do this more than once. But that has already happend. So bottom line is that this WILL BE THE LAST TIME. So im going to be absoultly sure that the best decision is made.

That being said im going to be going with the togs.

Good decision? I mean everybody is right and after actually looking at a tap measure and visually seeing how big 2 1/2 inches is (collector size for the s&s) It scared me off. Exhaust is an important part of your combo. And I sure dont want to be adding any tenths onto my 1/4 mile time if i dont have to be.

    Good decision?

Inmo the pacesetters were also a pita to install. At least the crossover was anyway. What was so hard? And did you have any leaks after installing the togs? At all?

Well, my TOGs are probably going to be for sale soon, I have already welded the bolts in the rear crossover and downpipe so it's a 1 person install. Plus I have a Random tech DP that will be coming with them when they go.

Probably asking in the $400 range since the headers have mild sirface rust from not being coated. Nothing major at all, just there so they don't look as pretty

I'm going to be pushing the 450-500WHP threshold soon and need the TOG Xtremes, because they have 1 3/4" primaries
