I wanted to know what pulley size i should get with these mods... I have a 2000 Grand Prix GTP:

1)K&N FIPK 2 Cold Air Intake
    2)ZZP 3 Inch Catted Downpipe
    3)SLP Powerflo Catback
    4)ZZP 1.0 PCM

i was hoping to make it down to a 3.4"... would this work without KR?

Still need cooler plugs, and probably a better tune than ZZP.

What do you think about a 3.5" then? Would that work with those mods well?

When you deside to order your pulley, get the modular pulley system with the 3.4 and have it scanned for kr, if you have some move up to the 3.5 and sell the 3.4 and make some money back. But, yes like Sabre said, get some colder plugs.

Stock pulley... you need a lot more work than a CAI and a DP (Cat-back does little if anything at all at your level). You need a scanner + 0 KR before even thinking about pullies dude...

Yea... I think I'll hold off on the pulley for now i guess. Do some other mods first, it'll come eventually.

If you don't have a scan how do you know your not knocking? As already mentioned it IS possible to run a 3.4 with minimal mods and little to no knock but highly unlikely.

Jeff if you plan on running the 3.4 colder spark plugs are defiantly a must and you should also highly consider a plog at the very least, realistically also headers and a down pipe. You should also have access to a scanner as badazgtp suggests. If the 3.4 gives you Kr move up. If you plan on getting the plugs, exhauast work and a scanner go for the 3.4. If not then stick with the 3.5, much less chance of getting Kr.

The Series I has so little to do with the Series II/III it's nearly a completely different engine.

I'd up bio's bet to $50 says you've got some fairly bad knock. With no way of seeing your KR, how can you say you're not knocking?

It would be nice to go and scan his car and actually find out he's got knock. Then he can see who the real idiot is.

No, becuase people as stupid as his dumb ass would claim that the scanner isn't working right.

Explain to me how the ''pcm'' electronicly releases psi or boost. Do you even know what one of the tables is inside of a pcm??? huh?? The pcm is designed to ''save'' the engine when kr is occuring by reducing the timing ect. You car may not blow up but i promise it will be much slower than it was before. Probably about as slow as you are in the head. Do us all a favor, Go some where else if your going to come join OUR forums and then have the ignorance to call us idiots. I hope you never need my help with anything because i promise it won't be available to you. And I promise bio248 is a hell of a lot smarter than you will ever be. later
