That wasn't a trunk lid..it was more like a death trap. Even with the torsion bars jacked...had to watch out for your life.

    Here's mine. The rear deck.

im thinking of a putting a 1x2' board on the back of my box, and mount the amp on it, so it will show when you open the access port. The board is white, and the amp im likely going to get is black, which will go with the exterior of my car. I also have a little led strip that i might throw in somewhere.

I didn't put the covers on the cross overs though. It's not visible to the naked eye either

Nice set up. I like how your trunk still has the usable space.

You have a good eye. Yes, it's the 1005.

I went all around with Boston speakers, sub and amp. I love the system overall.

I went to Tractor Supply and found some metal. Determined the proper length etc, then mounted the amp to it and it to the underneath of the deck. Check your amp install instructions to ensure it does not say you can't mount it inverted.

Planned it properly so that the rear STB would clear the amp and wiring with room to adjust gains etc.

Used KnuKnoceptz wiring. 4 gauge from the battery to the amp, w/o a single bit of dimming when I push it.

Mounted the tweeter of the front components into the stock door panel piece.

I might have gone a little overboard... the entire trunk and interior shell of the cabin are matted with SecondSkinAudio matting, then inside the doors and trunk lid have their Sludge product on them. Ok, doing the speaker holders..was definately over the top.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

If you look through the links in my sig you'll see that I did use a board. My amplifier has the heatsinks mounted to the sides so that inverting the amp won't effect it's ability to dissipate heat.

I don't quite remember what I used to mount the wood on the rear deck but it's probably along the lines of nylon spacers along with a bolt and lock washer+nut?

That's a very nice BA amplifier! Wish I could hear your installation. You picked a very nice sub too. There's nothing wrong with overboard if it gives you piece of mind. It also helps to line everything to prevent panels from rubbing. Otherwise, 25% coverage moves 90% of the resonance to a lower frequency.

When I had it all in the car, it looked like this.

The box istn't carpeted in the pic yet because I took this the day that I got it all together and never got a picture of the box after carpeting. It is kind of hard to see, but I just mounted the amp right on top of the box. Ran the audio wires to the right, and the power wire to the left. It was easiest for me this way, and the amp is not really that visible.
