SBC in an S10, may be easier to pull the front clip off, and lift the cab.

I have pulled so many engines over the years. Mostly in the last 12 years pulling LT1s out of B-bodys. It is always easier to pull the transmission first. A S-10 is very easy. Pull the radiator, unbolt the 6 transmission bolts, three torque converter bolts, header bolts, two engine mount bolts, and everything hooked to the engine. Easy peezy lemon squeezy.

That is what I was thinking. The front clip should be easy to pull off and the cab wouldn't be too bad either. The Dime is such a small truck it wouldn't be a huge job. Plus you will have full access to everything.
