    Heat will be a issue. The air needs to come in from a outside source. Not air being heated up by the exhaust crossover pipe right under it.

    Even making a box to go around it were it sits would probly help.

    Cold air intakes are the best. This is a hot air intake.lol

    Wrong jeeves. Already dyno proven by the 06NA guy in here. Open Cone is FTW...it is all about flow in these cars...to hell with cold temps...it dont matter for ****. Put it in there like so.

    After looking at the photo again, I have this to say: you may want to move your coolant bottle (replace will... 99+ I think) - that's the reason this setup looks funky. Once that's gone, the setup will make much more sense.

    What you have now is better than stock. To improve upon your design, move the coolant bottle, buy a 9" cone intake, and point it kinda at your headlight (22.5* bend). OR slap it right on the throttle body (still move the coolant bottle - air comes in from behind the headlight).

    Actually, that's the throttle body right on top of the crossover pipe. The air's going to be heated up here no matter what.
