Well, I don't know how all this got started, but I will have to say, that even if you didn't do many performance mods, Schroedes, it's still nice. Who doesn't want a nice looking car to go with performance? It's the ultimate dream to have a Magazine Cover type car.
The Comp-G is a great car, however, my personal opinion, I actually like the 97-03 body style better, but that's my opinion and I can't really control what my mind likes. I do know my particular GP has only 1500 made, and I know of at least 50+ that have been wrecked or parted out.
I have only done performance mods for the most part. I haven't done hardly any aesthetics, however, when I buy my mods, such as my BMR trailing arms, I specifically got the red ones because they looked better.
Scroedes, you can take this as you please, and this goes out to the rest of everyone arguing here, but it is all useless. Opinions matter, but man do they cause some serious problems. It's so crazy that people argue over something they can't control.
I think there is a level where you take it too far, and I think many of you have past that level. When it becomes a shouting match, no one is going to listen, whether the facts are correct or not. Who here has tried to correct their mother when she was wrong? How does it end up? She yells at you and tells you "because I said so." If you keep arguing she will just run off in an angry mood or put you in a miserable mood, when in reality, deep down, she knows she's wrong, and it's just not worth proving to the point you make someone feel so much worse about it.
Schroedes, you mentioned something about that when you asked for advice on the site, they gave you it, you took it, and they bashed you for it. While I haven't seen any of the threads where you discussed what to do, I do agree with you that everyone here wants some nice HIDs and a nice CAI if they don't already have one.
Schroedes, I don't think deep down you're a jerk, I just don't think you or anyone else on this forum knows how to constructively criticize a person or situation. I was a hot head in high school. I played sports, and had good size and strength on me. I wasn't the biggest, but I had a level of authority if I wanted, and I used it. I didn't realize how it was making me look in the eyes of others, and usually I wouldn't care what it looked like, but this case is different. Surprisingly, I discovered and repaired this problem of mine in English 102, my second semester of college. I had just turned 19 and took a lot from that class. Learning to debate with others without causing a full all out argument has done amazing wonders I can't even describe. I rarely argue with my Fiance. Literally, the other day was the first time we argued in over 3 months! And it wasn't a shouting match. It was a heated discussion so to say, but a little more mild.
If you can cut down arguing with your significant other to only 3-4 times a year, I think it's going to be very successful. It also helps I'm very trusting, faithful, and not jealous, as she is the same way. We've been together 8 years now, and were high school sweethearts. Sounds crazy that I'm only 25, and probably shouldn't have any knowledge worth listening to, but I truly feel I'm doing something right.
Take all of this how you want it, but I hope many of you look into trying to find other ways to sort out your matters. I also wish people would look into the difference between opinions and facts. The Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning discussion. Who is better? It's personal opinion because there are so many variables when it comes to statistics that it's impossible to put an answer on it. Newton's 3 Laws of motion, however, are facts, and there is no arguing them otherwise. Technically, gravity is only a theory, as well as how the striated muscles in our body work. They can, to an extent, be argued otherwise.

Instead of calling for a quick ban, why can't we have someone, completely non bias, and not apart of the argument to come in and mediate. By banning someone, it isn't going to help them. They are either going to make a brand new name and start over the same way(pretty common,) or they are going to run to another forum and piss them off.
I will tell you all right now, and I guarantee every single one of you has had the exact experience, that my best friends are the ones I hated at first, haha! It's so damn true. My best friend in my entire life I met in 2nd grade. I was a Pitcher in Little League, and he was 3B. We lost because I let up like 18 hits in one inning, haha, back when you could pound on the other team as much as you wanted. He was so pissed at me and started yelling at me, and tried to blame an error on him on me, haha. That night we were playing with my K*Nex!!! He ended up sleeping over and we watched Never Ending Story. Yea, I remember it all! Haha!
Seriously, though, I may have to message the mods about how the whole banning situation should be handled. I really think there better ways to deal. Obviously, some people can't be worked with, and they should be banned, but Schroedes, from reading your threads I just think your more in a trance state and don't care what you say. And everyone else is to blame because they are flaming on you as well! See, we all have some fault.

Awww come on.... no one really likes to fight with each other. It raises blood pressure and makes you feel bad.
You know what makes me sad. I have to miss almost half the Auto Club 500 tomorrow due to my 16 hour shift at work. Midnight to 4pm! When I get off I have to stop by the local fish store because I want a Koi Angelfish, and then I will probably go home and sleep!
