oil level is fine and was changed not even 500 miles ago so i don't know if it's pressure or what?
you better pray that it is the gauge that is faulty...you will want to gett it checked out if it isn't too late already.
i sure hope he changed the filter when i bought it, i hope it's just a faulty gauge cause it flickers at random time too. thanks for the replies everyone!
Odd thing here.. Had that issue on a Regal. Ended up being a faulty cluster. But the only way to know was to hook a mechanical gauge and know for 100% certain.
FWIW the glovebox manual said flashing was normal at idle/stoplights. My personal feeling was ...NO F'n way is that normal.
There are two different lights (I'm pretty sure the GP is the same as the Regal on this), one for oil pressure and one for oil level. If it's the oil level, your sensor's probably bad. It happens. If it's the oil pressure light, hopefully it's a bad sensor as well, because if your oil pressure is dropping that low regularly, you have a problem, and it could be serious if not corrected soon.
Come to think of it, there's probably a third light to change the oil, I'm assuming that's not what we're talking about, though.
yes we have two different lights(one for level and one for pressure). The oil change light is in the DIC, digital or dummy bulb depending on which DIC you have..
