im not really interested in running subs or an aftermarket HU but i ordered some new 5 1/4 door speakers and new 6x9s for the rear so i just want to add a small amp to power those, theres so many wires going into this amp im not sure what they are all for? lol will i lose anything by not having it in there?

The little amp is for the 8 speaker premium, there were 3 sound options on the car. The standard 6 speaker set which was a set of 5 1/4 inch components up front and a set of 6x9's in the back. The premium speaker system which was 8 speakers the set of 5 1/4 components, a set of 6x9's, and a set of 4's in the back with a tiny amp behind the glove box. The last option was the bose system which was basically the premium system with the bose amp. The bose amp was also a for of equalizer for the system, it helped with the highs and lows and put out much more power. Im not sure about replacing the stock delco amp though. To bypass it you can just remove it entirely and run the wire directly just remember the stock stereo was really weak so without the amp u wont get much anyway.
