Ok so the nitrous kit I should be picking up is a nitrous express kit that comes with everything needed to hook up at a full 10lb bottle for 250$ seems like a really good deal if nitrous is 7.50$ a lb

on the back end, tanks dont last long, aint cheap to fill over and over. you know 7.50 X 10. not cheap at all. and i bet a 10 lb tank holds more then 10 lbs.

kinda like a propane tank, its called a 20 lb tank, but clearly weighs more then 20 lbs full.

Ya I figure ill probably end up going wild with the first tank and then calm down and only use it for special occasions and to pick up chicks with my super cool nitrous purges, 75$ goneeee 😉 lol

Ok guys I would like your opinions. I can get the kit I previously mentioned or for 300$ I can get a brand new dry nitrous express system. I'm leaning to the previous one but I can tell the solenoids are an older model and so I'm worried about them failing or having to buy new ones which are 80 bucks a pop. I also don't know how long the bottles certification has left.

Ok I picked up my nitrous kit, stupid kid was missing both the braided lines that go from solenoids to fogger and the jets but I needed up jewing him down 70$ because of that BS. I want to clarify on a wet kit you want to tap into the throttle body or a tb spacer correct? The reason I ask I was reading directions for a zex kit and they said to place the nozzle 6" before the throttle body for optimal mixing with air time. I have also heard that its ok to spray the maf if its a dry kit. So any input would be great. Thanks guys.

I'm pretty sure it will get mixed very well when it get's to the rotors in the supercharger. you can get a throttle body spacer to inject to or you can drill and tap the blower case. I use a spacer to inject the water/methanol, but at some point if I don't start spraying nitrous I will switch to spraying in the blower case.

I just figured it tap the tb. Where in the blower case would you tap?

On the back side close to where the throttle body bolts. When you look at the blower case you will see that's the only good spot

Hmm ill have to check it out. I have a spare blower case and throttle body although both my tb and blower have a lot of my life in them.(ported)

I was also wondering what I should do for fuel. I could splice into the feed line that goes to the rail but that would uust add another spot it could leak. I was thinking can I hook the fuel solenoid to the fitting on the fuel rail? If so is the fuel rail fitting -4an?

That fitting is -4an iirc. That's what I used for fuel at first.

Also, never spray nitrous through a maf sensor. You can freeze it.

The zex dry kit works because it increases fuel pressure.

I had a nitrous setup running a 75 shot (wet). I used a throttle body spacer so it was after the MAF. It wore the coating off the rotors so I said screw it and went turbo. I still have the throttle body spacer if you're going that route.

See I knew it. That's why I didnt want to go wet but now I have already spent a crap ton of money on getting everything setup for a wet kit. How long did you run the wet kit before the rotors got ruined?

It was parts of three years. Def made up for the lack of top end when the SC died out. I loved nitrous, only reason I went turbo is because it took a toll on my rotors and I came across a turbo kit for cheap. Otherwise I'd prob still be running it lol

So youd say a 75 shot is pretty safe long term as long as the tune is good and not running lean?

I had no probs with mine. Just watch your KR. Basic intakr/exhaust mods were enough. The motor handled it all without a problem.

Ya I backed timing off 1.5 degree and in hopefull that's all I have to do. Especially spraying it through an intercooler. It will probably drop my iat a lot. I'm going to start with a 50 shot though and my goal is to be at a 75. I haven't heard of many people running more then that with a stock bottom end.

member here had a 2.5 pulley on a gen 5 on e85 with 75 shot and 22ยบ wot timing, no kr lol

if you dont have a wb get one, cause you need to see if your leaning out, the fuel pump has a hard time keeping up. he had to get a monster pump.

just a tip, he sold all that stuff and went turbo lol
